Plastic air cleaner cover is gen1 and then upgraded to aluminum.
French V-stacks are restricted; narrowed down inlets.
Looks like euro/western tank vents are 2 and cali are 3 vents at the back of the tank.

See the silver alloy cross bar?
On either side see the arms that are currently tucked in?
They can be swivelled and extended outwards to attach luggage straps to.
Maybe these are not on US spec bikes?

Definitely not on my 2014...

These are on the UK spec Gen 2 bikes also. It's funny, I use those luggage hooks every time I ride and I completely forgot about them!

Those luggage hooks we have on the Australia spec'd versions that the US boys don't have must be the reason why we pay thousands more for our bikes.
Lucky us...

Oz is much closer to Japan then either the US or UK so how come? What's the drive away price of a new 14R/ZZR1400 down under? I paid £11500 for mine in March'12.

Brand new 2015 ZX-14R $21,799 plus on road costs here.
Our government adds a nice chunk of duty and tax plus the Australian dollar exchange rate also plays a major part.

But again, it's okay.
We have the retractable luggage hooks...

GRN found another one.

No need for an Evo Shift Star kit upgrade because the OEM shift arm has been updated with a bearing on the Gen 2.

The list keeps growing...

Mainshaft gears differ. Top input is 28T for early, 29T late. Both top outputs are 29T. Countershaft gears have different part numbers.

The X-Y factor is if the case spacing went wide/narrow and the shaft protrudes or is recessed. Next X to Y is if the shafts are spaced, where this says the gears jam up or are spaced farther away at the tooth to tooth gaps.

Thanks for the reply Hub,I've ordered it off eBay the seller is adamant that they are the same!

Will I know if it's different from comparing them together? If I fit it in the lower casing I guess if it fits then it should be ok? Or is the main drive gear different which I guess is what you mean by input gear?

Thanks
