Question: Do you guys say Merry Christmas or the NEW politically correct, Happy Holidays? I will be Honest here, I 4 one can't keep up to all BS.

I guess i say Have a great holiday if I don't know what the person celebrates.

Wow, maybe I'm not the nicest person in the world, but honestly, it would seem there is no place left for us red necks lol. If people are offended when I say Merry Christmas, well the world really has gone upside down. I think people would be happier if everyone would just relax. Am I alone on this one ? I asked this question because Thursday I said Merry Christmas to a lady who seemed very happy at Star Bucks. Well I should have just told her to go fuck herself. I received the same reaction. She then corrected me. I did not give my statement any thought until I was walking away. Just thought I would check with some of you guys to see if I was nuts.

You aint "nuts"......those people are called "crazy makers"-they never can lighten up! I know my motives are honest-if they have a "problem" with anything-that's just it-THEIR PROBLEM-not mine!!(just think...they get to live with themselves! )

Good point. I'm willing to bet there is a very unhappy man just waiting for THAT to get home. I think it is very easy to tell when someone means well and when they being a Ass..le. In my case, I was only being nice to a stranger. Won't do that again. Ouch. Anyway...... "Merry Christmas". LOL

True political correctness works both ways........just depends on your politics. Some people just have to raise a fuss. Rabble rowsers waiting for some opportunity to open their mouth even over friendly well wishing.

Oh my god Romans--I was thinking the exact same thought. I used to be that guy! 11 years of walking on eggshells not being able to say anything that shouldn't be spoken in front of a 5 year old......and there wasn't even a child in the house until year 7.

I don`t do PC. It is Merry Christmas.

I'll just come right out and say it. This is the celebration of our Saviors birth. That is why it is CHRISTmas. Romans, don't stop sharing the Spirit with those around you. That is what the PC people want us to do. I feel that even though the responce was negative, you never know what that greating did for her. She may have brought it up with her spouse back home and it turned into a positive experience. Keep the faith. It changes peoples lives when we do.

I am not religious at all which means I believe in me and not a god BUT I still say Merry Christas and Happy Easter. I don't really care what others think because if they bitch I know they would bitch about anything. Seeing the kiddos do the Easter egg hunt and opening presents at Christmas is more important than what I think.
