Maddevill Bio

Hi there. Well, I didn't start riding until I moved out, ma hated bikes.. First bike was a brand new XS650 Yam. After 3 months I HATED it! my friend took care of that for me by crashing it into a Dodge Dart. So, I got a Yam 3 cyl XS750. ( I must be stupid). Not a bad bike but slowwwwww... Went to work for a Yamaha dealer and bought a XJ650 Turbo. Now that was a decent bike. Swapped the 19" front wheel for an 18" from a Vision and had a custom paint job on it. I eventually started racing so I bought a wrecked FZ600. That was a fun one. Raced 2 years and then moved up to a 87CBR600. 2 more years on that and I got an 89 TZR250. That's the reverse cylinder 2 stroker. Whoopee! Fun! Rode that 2 more years, then I went to Japan and bought a 91 TZR250 from a bike auction for $450. Brought it home and raced that for 7 years, the last 3 with a full TZ250 motor in it. my best result was 3rd overall in the 250 Superbike class in 07. Eventually the wallet forced my retirement from racing. I had a highly modified 86 VFR750 with GSXR1100 front end and rear wheel on it and a 847cc motor. Kind wish I'd kept that one...Sold that and got a 2001 ZX9R. Nice bike, fast and comfy. Then, never satisfied, I sold that and bought a wrecked 2004 ZX10R. Had to put a new frame on it and made it into a streetfighter with a Z1000 fairing on it. I still have that one. Needing a "Touring" bike, I couldn't pass up a deal on my 06 ZX14. Yosh pipe,PC3, new tires, new chain and sprockets, fresh tune up- $4900. SO, that's my baby now. And I love it!

I am also a certified KTM, Triumph and Ducati tech, including Desmosedici cert. But got laid off so now I do side jobs here and there.
Well, that's it for me.

MadDevil,
Damb, reading your bio, I understand why that name is befitting. Nice to read about a brother who has raced and could actually push the 14 near it's capacity. I'll never be able too. Most of my race experience is on the street, when I was too young to apprehend the danger and too stupid not to accept a challenge when another rider laid it down.

A man with your tech bike sector skills shall not be unemployed long..

Cheers mate!
