Anyone know anything about Suzuki's plans for the Hayabusa?

I did an extensive serach using Google Japan but nothing. I am really interested in what Suzuki would do with Busa as its sales number is declining against ZX14R. I bet Suzuki would come up with something new towards the end of this year right around Tokyo Motor show if not earlier.

Yes after being top dog for a decade I would think that being second banana to the 14R now for a few years is not sitting well with Suzuki

but they are apparently in financial trouble correct?

I know Suzuki has got back in to MotoGP this year. If they were in financial trouble I don't think racing in the most expensive form of motorcycle racing there is will help any. And really they haven't really upgraded any of there bikes in quite a few years.

I suspect they're gonna have a new upgraded Busa soon.Maybe even an SC bike...sc Busa?Maybe.

Suzuki is doing OK, especially in Asia. In Japan, their small car (660cc class) is selling very well. In Thailand and India, Suzuki is pretty strong as well. They cleverly pulled out of the low volume sales market like US (no more Suzuki automobiles in US). I bet they are sharpening their knives now to kill ZX14R...can't wait!

They already have Busa's in South Carolina Oldman :-D

Lets look at this as out of a deep hole. Say I put all my R&D on the track. Say we try crossplane. Say we already have the engine made, the chassis. Say we sell a gp bike ala, last year's gp bike tuned close to being competitive with yam and kawi.

It will be very interesting to see what they do come up with after the bike has been upstaged and unchanged for a few years now

The longer Suzuki sits on their hands the longer we get to be king which is fine by me.

They have shown next to zero motivation in getting a piece of the phenomonal bikes being released over the past few years.

That being said, if they do a 1600 or something (and I wouldn't put it past them) I just can't wait to see what they do either.

I'd be surprised if the current "eco-terrorist" imposed sanctions upon tailpipe emissions would support an engine that size.

I think we're lucky to have the 1441.

^ The H2 disproves that I think. They will just have to think of more clever ways to keep emmissions low like the rocket launchers on the 14R models.

OK , it's finally on. February 05, the Gen 3 Hayabusa will be revealed. The busa fellas are saying 1440 cc engine. Electronics include quickshifter, auto shift, TC and power modes for sure. I'm skeptical about there being a larger engine. Wouldn't that just be asking for it? A Gen3 ZX-14 would be inevitable.

Nobody's excited about the new Hayabusa huh? That means a new ZX-something, you know!

Should have been done a long time ago.

But I'll believe they have done it properly when I see it.
