Anyone know how to remove the baffles from yoshimura TRC, R22, R55 type slip ons? I'd like to get the added performance that they give, but with the baffles in...there is no change from stock pipes.

the "low volume inserts" are just short tubes stuck into the end of the muffler, held in place with one bolt inside the muffler end. Just look in the end of the muffler, you will see the single attachment.
you can see what hte part looks like, on Yosh's web site, I atach the link to the R22 replacement parts page, just go the bbottom of that page for a ppicture of the low volume insert, you can see the attachment point in the photo.

even Yosh will tell you that any dual slip ons are mainly for weight saving over stock, and appearance, don't expect too much power improvement, maybe a couple of hp max..... Hard to tell from your avatar, is your bike an 08? If so, the 08's and later have a substantial catalytic convertor in the stock header, some of us have removed that to reduce restriction further when using slip ons. Will involve sectioning the header with a band saw, pulling the cat out, then re-welding.

sorry, haven't figured out how to insert a working link, you will have to copy and paste the link into your browser
