I think it's mainly for drag racing, aerodynamics and launch traction. As far as the lower seat, no drag benefits, but easier to tuck, you feel more planted in the bike, more flat footed at stops, less pressure on wrists and back....etc...I guess that could help a little at the strip, but nothing like lowering links.

1. Lower bike - Less prone to wheelie.
2. Extend the swing - Less prone to wheelie.
3. Low center of gravity - a free benny.
4. Rider body position - Better leave.
5. Street Trend - The Looook.

How close am I?

I've gone nearly 12 o'clock while fully lowered at the track a couple times. Mostly cause I had slid back in the seat during the launch... There's an example to the benefit of a lowered seat, it's to keep your ass in place. Gonna find me one this winter.

Good point nasty. There's less padding in the low height Sargent seat but it's still ALOT more comfortable than stock because it's wider and elleviates pressure points the stocker gave me, plus deffinately feeling more planted.

I lowered and stretched my old girl and a whole lot of other stuff....may she RIP...
1.5 front...2 inches in the rear.. i'm light so not that big of a problem with bottoming out unles i rode 2 up.
I would highly suggest cutting your kickstand a bit or getting an adjustable one. I did both. Like the adjustable kickstand better.

Did have a few issues when rideing hard in the real tight twistys in 1st gear she would over heat, put her in 2nd gear and let the torque down low pull me thru corners she was fine. Have scraped pegs, lowers, and mid pipes on occasion when being to aggressive while cornring....

Last good pictures before she became road kill

Love the way yours looks Nasty.. I was looking at getting the black one as my next bike, and doing my mods to it. ROFL it would've turned out very similar to yours.

Lol I stole a couple ideas from your bike in the first place. The wheel tape, bar end mirrors, cycle pirates mirror block offs, and Chinese rearsets. Man it is an absolute shame that your girl is no more. Awesome looking bike.

Lol. Thanks man. Now that I look closer I see...
I was gonna get another green on and recreate but there hard to find. There's a dealer here that has one 2012 sitting on his showroom floor. Still wants 16k for it. Won't budge from that price.
The black or white are the only other colors that appeal to me. Good thing is I was able to salvage 80% of the after market parts I put on her. :)
