Two Bros Slip-ons
06/03/12 6:58 PM

Fellas,

I picked up the TB titanium black series slip-ons from motorcyclegear.com. Only cost $750 incl shipping. Ask for Nathan. Easy install and looks really nice on the all black joint. It lost about 20 pounds and flicks even quicker than before. And it sounds incredible. I thought TBs may be too loud but I was pleasantly surprised. Just a mean, strong rumble. Kick ass from the start. This 14r finally sounds/looks like the killer that it is.

Man for a little bit more money you could have gotten a brocks and gained serious horsepower. And don't say it has enough, thats such a lie. Us guys that bought a 14r bought it because of the POWER. And we all know you can never ever have enough.[Insert doctor evil laugh]

You may not believe me but I use my 14R to kill curves. No drag racing here. I got the pipes to lose weight, get great sound, and tight looks. The TB is a better looking slip than Brocks IMO. And I wanted duals.

This bike has more power/torque than I will ever use in any corner. I do like to blast up to 185 every now and then on straight backroads but that is after I'm coming out of long sweeper. And it reaches 185 VERY quickly. lol

Nice look. Thanks for the report. I am considering the carbon version. I too want dual cans and less weght with deeper note.

Sounds like no pc/map needed for these, then? No re-tune? I am not interested in paying for a pc and tune and full system just to get another 10% hp. Don't mind a few more ponies with slip-ons and a K & N ; but weght reduction and bass enhancement are the primary goals for me.

KR Tuned and K&N did all that for my 07; want to do it for the R.

Please give us an update in a few hundred or thousand miles.
Cheers!

I went with the carbon version. I may go full system/PCV later on once they figure out all of the tricks of the re-flash, but for now slip-ons are enough. Typically I like Akras but do not like what they have for the 14R. I've never owned TB's product before (from my previous interaction on other sites, they were always considered the very bottom of the food chain) - so am interested in how the carbon holds up - since there is NO warranty given on it.

Now I just gotta get rid of that mudflap...................

You are such a dumb ass. You seem to know a lot about your alter ego Gixxerjohn. I'd say your dumb ass comments to someone just showing their very nice looking set of slip on's is "shitting on everyones post."
BTW...your lies are so outrageous they are laughable. Post one single post from me on Bikeland that was adversarial...I mean even one, (that wasn't in response to some of your gixxejohn BS perhaps) and I'll never bother your sorry ass again. You won't be able to, there or here, because my responses to you are the only ones EVER posted by me that are regarding anything other than bike talk. Do you really think your BS trick of trying to turn your pathetic self on bikeland into me is going to work...what a loser.

I think the carbon version looks great with the blue bike and the titanium version fits perfectly with the black bike.

Make sense? Ummmm...nope. Just like nothing you write makes sense. Are you kidding me? Same 4th grade grammar and sentence structure. Same exact nonsense and delusional thinking. Same person who has never posted a picture of his "Brocked out" ZX-14R.

Anyone who wants to go to Bikeland.com, check out the zx14 forum, do a search for person you are running so fast from, Gixxerjohn, can read two posts from you, compare the posts there and here and not only get a real dose of who you are and why you are so desperate to perpetuate the lies on here, but clearly compare your grammar and sentence structure to see you are one and the same. They can read some of your PM's that you've sent to members of truly unbelievable nature, your stated intent to exist only to ruin the forum and make members lives miserable, your complete disparagement of Brocks performance and Brock himself, and more of your insults towards the members who challenged you. Your first post here calling another member a "Fat Fuck" as soon as he disagreed with you, is of the same nature as the insults you hurled over there, (and assume still do-wouldn't know since I ignored you a long time ago.)

Also I'm sure there are others that are pretty fed up with this tiff over here with me, and I can't say I blame them, but stop posting as if you speak for everyone...you and your long tenure over here with hundreds of buddies and all.

Honestly, if it weren't for some of the significant over the top threats and severely offensive remarks you made over there I'd drop it but you are so busted and it's pathetic watching you lie over and over again.

Now let's see if you can keep your promise and "stop responding to my posts." You said that over and over again over there also, (that you were just going to stop posting) to about 10 different members after pouting that you were being picked on and didn't know why.

I won't apologize to everyone or the OP for Gixxerjohn, but I will for me. If you can guys can put up with this psycho, it shouldn't bother me. I get that. I'm out. I won't be responding any further in this thread regardless of his lying retort, but just for fun take me up on my suggestion to compare his posts and decide for yourself who's got real serious problems.

Again my apologies to the OP and anyone else this has irritated.

One thing to watch on the TB carbons is they fade over time. Start to have a brownish hue. Keep an eye out.

Chop Top,

Targa makes a nice fender eliminator for $19. Check out motorcyclesuperstore.com to see it.

The TB slips have a slight popping sound on deceleration. My Muzzy's did the same on my previous 14. I'm sure a PC or Bazzazz will cure it. It doesn't bother me too much. Kind of sounds like a MotoGP bike. The bike pulls harder than stock above 7K RPMs. Not sure if it's the pipes or weight loss. Could be a combination of both. No noticeable power gains under 7K.

Looks great. Question, if you just do slip-ons like these do you have to remap the bike or will it be ok? I would like the nice sound of an aftermarket muffler (weight savings helps) but I don't want to remap the bike and go through all that.

That fading is an indicator to repack the muffler. If you repack it every 3000 miles like suggested my the manufacture it wont discolor.

Choptop - you could also go to your local hardware store a buy L brackets and nuts, bolts, and washers to fit them for much cheaper.

You're supposed to repack mufflers every 3k miles? That's like every other month... that's a lot of maintenance for mufflers, imo. Is that just the Two Brothers, or standard for all mufflers?

Phantom, I have done nothing to the bike except the slip-ons. Seems to run fine but does pop on decel. I don't think it is hurting the motor but am no expert. I am waiting on Guhls/Ivans final hack on the ecu before I start playing with fueling.

Any muffle that is packed. It will say it with the instructions.

Past experiences I had with my other bikes, changing just the exhaust doesnt require a new map. But anything to make it leaner will require a new map or fuel controller.
