Final proof 14 no good except straight line
03/04/16 11:48 PM

Finally definitive proof once and for all 14s might as well not even have a steering head...

That first vid was on an awfully short track, to tight for a 14!!!

Noticed both riders were using what appeared to be only compression braking, never saw any nose dive on either bike!

Cool vids, thanks for sharing Vic!

13:31 or there about is watch the other bike's steering correction. The 14 was passing other bikes, never was repassed... Vic, nice try. Now sit the fuck down.

Looks like it's little more than a gymkhana coarse but still a lot of fun and definitely a great way to sharpen up cornering skills. He almost had a close call at 15:37!

I think you're talking about 15:37, Hub. LOL He Rossied that guy! I can here him complaining that the 14 was in the way, right? haha well go faster and it won't be in the way!! I'm sure Vic was being facetious with the itle of this thread. I would like to see this guy on a bigger track though. He's has no need to shift even once after the first lap or two.

"I'm sure Vic was being facetious..." I know. I was just goofing on him in the spirit of it. I'd be sitting upright and have my BOSS-feelers grinding that little gocart track. You've seen those japanese cops run those parking lot cone cornering contests for time, right? That 14 was effortless if we want to talk about working that 'hinge.'

Well clearly this isn't an actual film. I mean come on, zx14 taking a turn without traveling the circumference of the world? Yeah...right!

I'm no expert, but isn't that some whacky riding form he has? Rather than shift his entire torso off to the side of the bike, he just rotates his body, scoots his butt off the seat, basically looking like his main purpose is just to grind away his knee pucks.

In other words, his torso ends up facing away from the turn he's going in to.

^^^JMHO--I think that guy has good form for track riding. It may never be necessary to go to that degree on the street except just for fun. I try to do it. Lift the butt up and sit on the outer edge of the seat. Yes he does twist and lean off far but that's saving a few degrees of lean angle. we see 14s scraping hard parts when leaned over far so I'd say it's justified in this type of riding.

extra, don't look at the body, look at the bike lean, the lines the guy is taking, how smooth and steady the bike is, not upsetting the input of the steering LOLOLOL you fucking shittyit, Vic! FFS, take another look you hinge-gee-hon-gee.

If I wanted a butt work-out, I'd go to the gym and besides that straight-line acceleration makes my peter rock hard :)

I'm no expert on riding styles and shifting weight. That I understand it's not the best riding style. Moving your heiny like that helps shift weight, but without shifiting your upper torso too only about 20% of that weight is probably making a difference. Obviously that guy knows that track could probably run it blindfolded.

Still, it's a good show for a 14 on a very tight track.

So now you are saying the engineers installed a hinge after all? And let BOSS or any kneedowner tell you, that moving all over becomes as normal ass nose picking either one.

besides that straight-line acceleration makes my peter rock hard :)

Oh and after reading those few porno pages of the factory shop manual, I've been trying for days to get this thing down it hurts rubik cube style... I'm rounding off the corners trying to fine the hole.

Rook said,

Salt my Peter
is my favorite Hubbism. Well, since I rarely ride my 14R anymore I bought a little dirt bike. It's a Kawasaki KLX 110L and I put rear stunt pegs on it to do stand-up wheelies and a 42 tooth rear sprocket so I can pop a wheelie from a dead stop in 2nd gear and this is how I
Salt my Peter
Oh yeah, I'm sure that the majority of you know this but before I get any negative feedback, it is MUCH harder to wheelie a bike with only 7.3 hp than a powerful bike because you MUST keep it in the balance point or the front-end falls down immediately even with the throttle pinned.

Skewed I assume you mean something about wheelies? Don't think people care that much if you can wheelie a 14 or dirt bike. What doesn't add up is you say you get your rocks off with straight line speed. But then you say you rarely ride your 14 any more and ride a 8 hp dirt bike.

Good reply Vic, I have devoted my 14R to the strip and I have only been to the strip once, but I will be going to a 1/8 mile strip in a few weeks and then a 1/4 mile strip in April. So I must get my rocks off someway in between the long waits to the drag strip :)

OK-- I get to say it now: WELLLL---SALT MY PETERER!! That's a nice wheelie, skewed. WHat negative feed back could we have on that? I don't think I'll ever be a wheelie king but I'd say regardless of how hard or easy it is to wheelie whatever bike, I'd be a lot more likely to try it on a dirt bike.

And that's the advantage to rocking turns and curves. Since your bike has been skewed to the strip, street riding you're pretty much limited to going out and putting around, maybe get on it from time to time with some stop light racing. Which we all know of course is asking for LEO stmaps of disapproval. Not anything I could enjoy either. Could do that with a moped.

This is where getting my lean on comes into play. Get to go fast and hang on for dear life.
