Hi All,

I just passed 24,000 and was looking at the service manual it says i should change the coolant, radiator hoses and o rings, spark plugs and the air cleaner element. Is most of this possible to do at home? i took it in to the dealer for the 15k service and it costed me just over a 1000$. cant afford to do that anymore. i do most of the basic oil changes and brake pads ect. at home but this seems like it would be a few day project.
any advice or suggestions are welcome..

First, get a new mechanic. second, yes you can do most of that at home. You may need to change hoses. Just inspect them for cracks and see. The coolant shouldnt be a big deal to change. Spark plugs and filter are more of a pain becauase u have to take off the gas tank which is the hardest part by yourself. If you have a buddy to help you over a few beers it wont be so bad.

You remove the gas tank to get to the plugs?Okay-yes,I see that(is that the same procedure for removing the cylinder head?)I take that back-No I don't see that(to get to the plugs).
