Best vote I ever made.

Still have the bike too. The economy is booming, no doubt about that. I am proof of this. The work was never there when Big O was in the White House. Don't want to talk about that though, do we trolls?
Screw your feelings.

Just picked it up a couple of days ago. Thank You President Trump and Family.

Thanks for the Congrats 14. I still have yet to put my foot in it and see what it can do. It sure does like to run on the highway, kind of like my 14, but much quieter. It's been almost 30 years since I owned an actual car.
Welcome to the forum. I have a feeling we have met before

Thanks Yannih and Grn. 470hp is a lot of horse! I'll be babying it for a while. Just going to be my weekend ride pretty much. No double garage here so my truck is now going to have to sit outside. Just enough room for the 14 and the Jaguar with about 12 inches to spare in length.
Have a great day guys.

She's a beauty AND a beast. I have never had leather in any of my vehicles before and boy does this have the leather. I am amazed how this handles on the highway. No drag whatsoever when I take my foot off of the accelerator and smooth as glass. Seems like it will coast forever. Eight speed transmission gets me 1500 rpm's at 75 mph. Red line is at 6500 rpm's. I have not used the "sport" mode (racing) option as of yet because this vehicle pulls fast enough in normal driving mode. 470hp with 424 ft-lb of torque. 0-60 in 4.3 seconds but I doubt I'll ever try that because I find myself slowing down in my old age, not speeding up. Right now I have zero points on my driving record and I sure need to keep it that way. I am seriously considering letting the bike go even if I have to take a hefty financial loss on it. 36,000 miles is a few but it will easily do 100k without issue.
Everyone have a terrific week and stay safe.
Lee

Does your car still have hydraulic power steering? A few years ago Jaguar was one of the few still using it instead of the "more fuel efficient" electric power steering. Their advertising mentioned that they still used hydraulic PS due to superior road feel. My 2012 Mercedes E350 has electric power steering and I have to say I do not like it. It's not horrible but does not have the connected feel of past hydraulic PS cars.
Your Jaguar is a beauty for sure. The sun screen is really classy, with the Jaguar and model imagery.

It IS hydraulic and very smooth. Not sure how I would feel about electric PS but one never knows until one tries it. I'll take your word on the loss of connected feeling.
I just looked up your car, similar type sedan and sharp looking, nice. I bet it rides awesome too. This is my first car in almost 30 years. It's been trucks all this time. Although I do still have the truck I find myself taking the XF to the grocery store instead :)
The sunscreen is a nice bonus that came with it. It is an accessory that has to be purchased separately.
Thanks for the nice words on this purchase. Good looking dog by the way

Hey there fellow Grn14! Answer to your question is yes. I purchased a 5 year protection plan that covers just about everything that could happen to the paint, including to the interior. Zurich Shield Elite
Another protection plan I purchased was Zurich Select Protection Plan that covers dent repair, windshield protection, key protection and more (5yrs.).
I also felt the need to get GAP insurance should something happen and Progressive falls short for me.
Granted this was a few grand above the purchase price but I'll have peace of mind for the next several years. I hope to have this car for quite a while.
Maybe buy another one in the future but a different model.
As for the grocery store? I park way away from everyone else, out in the boonies. I don't mind the walk at all if it is going to keep me from getting upset with some inconsiderate imbecile. And they are out there!

The car previous to the E350 was a VW Passat wagon, which had hydraulic PS. I noticed the difference in road feel with the electric PS on the MB right away, but it is a different make and model car, so I cannot say for sure that all of the difference is due to the electric vs. hydraulic PS. By the way, we have the wagon version of the E350, which are kind of rare around Seattle it seems. We bought a wagon specifically to pack the mutt shown above. We've had 5 Dobies over the years and always have had wagons. We tried a few convertibles to see if we could capture some of the open air feel like on a bike but still have the ability to bring the dog. After mulling it over, a convertible for us just did not seem practical, so we bought the MB wagon.

That is a nice looking station wagon. Myself and the family dog grew up in the jump seat of a Chevrolet Kingswood Estate station wagon. My three sisters would usually sit in the middle but we did occasionally trade off. Had the laminated wood up and down both sides of that beast! It had a 350cu in engine and the luggage rack on top. They have come a long way since the 70's for sure.

It was a boat alright.

I remember those wagons like you grew up in. They are huge! There is room enough for kids, dogs, and a whole lot more.

Jaguars always had an appeal to me, since they did not try to look like every other car on the road. They have their own unique and appealing styling. Especially now, so many car makes look very similar to one another. Congrats again on your XF. It must be a real kick to drive.
