Hello all,
On another forum, a guy said that he did 197 mph on his Z1000. I pointed out that I had never heard of a Z1000 or any naked bike achieving those speeds, especially stock. He got offended and claimed it was verified by some cars that had "calibrated" speedos.
What say you?

Mad, you know that there will always be those who "ever so slightly" exaggerate the size of the fish they caught, the size of their pecker, and how fast they go on their motorcycle.

It is simply human nature...

I tried to be respectful to the guy. Mentioned that most car and bike speedos ae hopelessly optimistic, but he's a DOCTOR so he knows shit!!!
I did notice that his claims started edging downward though. Now he's claiming 175.

22 miles per hour on the top end is a pretty big downward edge :) You must have not been the only voice..;)

So, the DOCTOR is back. Now states that his friend, who is a big wig with the CHP, clocked him at 165
and , based on his distance to the car, he estimated he was doing 192 on his Z1000 naked bike...
Yeeeeaaahh…...I don't think so.
