Some fork lift stands have pegs that insert in a hole in the fork bottoms. Maybe that bolt is just a plug for that hole.

There is a shop In Toronto that does a lot of drag bikes,zx14’s being one of his favourites, when I told him I’m going to do a fork oil change, he told me if I’m not going to disassemble the forks to clean then take off the top and drain thru the drain bolts in bottom of legs,Ive searched the internet and can find nothing on it,the shop manual shows the bolt but not any thing about it’s purpose,he said it can turn 3 to 4 hour fork oil change into loosen the top cap ,remove axel pinch bolts put bike on stem stand ,remove bottom fork bolts sit back have a beer and let it drain. So why can I not find any info on the zx14 and this bolt

I don't think it's a hole for pins to insert. The bolt is going into that upper radius of the main fork body assembly.I think it could be a drain hole.

Looking a little deeper into the manual I don’t think it’s a drain bolt but actually threads into the fork cylinder,so if it’s removed a complete fork disassembly would be required
So it’s a bad idea to remove it unless your doing a complete fork tear down , I’m going to print out the pages and confront the mechanic ??,can’t trust anyone these days(except for Hub)??

Good thing you checked on that before jumping into it. Maybe your mechanic friend has a time saving hack. I'd ask him about it. If you haven't already, have a look at the section in the manual about Front Fork Oil Change. That might give you some clues.

Talked to the mechanic,he went over in great detail, maybe it saves some time,so I approached the oil change his way first I didn’t have the correct long Allen socket, second I said screw this, and removed calipers front wheel and fender, removed fork spent some quality time cleaning and pampering the 14,pretty sure she thanked me for the cleaning , I don’t think it’s worth the time doing it his way
