Hi from central, pa
02/28/09 12:18 PM

Hello. Just wanted to thank bgorden for starting this forum. I also was a member of the other one untill it disapeared without warning. I did more lurking then posting but did get some great info when deciding what bike to buy next and what I wanted to do to it. I didn't realize how much i enjoyed checking in on miss-zx, turbobob, and others until it was gone.
As for me, I'm 41 been riding since 1992, like different kinds of bikes and riding. Last year was first full year with the zx14 and I put 8200 miles on it out of the 13000 I rode in 08. I had grills painted ,brock exhaust, powercommander, flies removed, heli-bar risers and love the bike. May even go for a ride later today 37 and sunny and no snow. Ray

You are quite welcome, Spence.

Which Brock pipes did you get, and how do you like them? Mine is also a blue 07. Ride safe. -bg

Bgordon, I put the Street Megaphone on shortly after I got the bike. At the same time I removed the flies and put the powercommander with the preloaded map from Brock on, which I bought in the package deal brock had at the time. It was a noticable difference, it just made the bike come alive, where as it was slightly disappointing at lower rpms new, now it works. The only thing I didn't like is the decel pop with this setup> there is a fix with a tre thats available but it reduces horsepower and that just seems wrong to me so I learned to live with it. My friend does enjoy the fireballs I can throw at him when we ride at night though.

In sport-touring mode

looks like some of picture is getting chopped of for some reason but you can see pipe and painted grills anyway.

Spence:

I resized your bottom 3 photos for you. The thing is that photos need to be limited to 800px wide in these forums in order to see the whole image. If you're uploading horizontal photos to photobucket.com, you can have them resized to 800x600px (select "resize to 800x600" before you upload them) and they will be good to go. -bg
