Raptor Shift light

First of all, some of you may notice in the video that I relocated my V1 radar detector. I had it on top of my right mirror, but every time I made a run above 150 mph, the mirror would move. That tells me there is way too much wind resistance which could actually be the difference between a win and a loss in a close battle.

The only reason I had it there was because I wanted the V1 to have an unobstructed view to the rear, but I found a work-around for that before I do a power-run, I shift my body over to the left and the rear-facing antenna has a clear view to the rear.

I've got the shift-light programmed to come on at 9,900 rpm because at that point, the rpm needle is moving very fast and it takes a small amount of reaction time once you notice the light come on (I'm still trying to fine tune it) but 9,900 seems to be OK for now.

Here's a very short clip of the light in action:

You may have mentioned in the past but have you ever been to the strip and gotten a ticket? You talk about racing a good bit but I don't ever see you mention ET.

No, I've never been to the strip, I'm one of those "bad boys" who race on the street---if the conditions are right, i.e., not in heavy traffic or where busy cross roads are, etc.
