That top pic,and the second one(and the bottom pic)...that plastic tab(where the screw goes in)...that needs to sit flush with the metal mount point. It's not down all the way.Your tank cover...are the two tabs (that are welded to the airbox on the top front)'in' the tank cover slots? It looks like the cover MAY be riding on top of those, instead of 'into' those.Your cover projection deal is all the way in on the 'down angled' part of the fairing there, yes?Where the two pieces come together.Did you remove your tank cover? It may not be sitting all the way down against the airbox. Those tabs in the pics are not down all the way. They won't be IF the tank cover is not seated against the metal tabs there.
Plastic on plastic...that's all that goes there..the fairing tabs.Over that metal screw mount and seated flat.Okay...I see it...you have the lower fairing plastic tab sitting UNDER that metal keeper that mounts to the airbox.NO...it goes over the metal screw mount...not under. It sits on the flange part, and the other plastic tab sits on top of that....and the ram duct cover goes onto that, and the screw holds it all.
