I should say...let the factory choose the cc size...knowing these SC's aren't practical(or useful) on every size motor(?)

If it's a choice between a SC or larger displacement, I'd pick SC. but why choose? Go with both! They would make a whole new engine anyway. Might as well go bigger and supercharge it. The 14 is all about excess power.
