Central Arkansas ride
05/31/17 1:57 PM

I lived 38 yrs in Denver, CO area and it is too crowded for me. And 32 yrs of driving trucks in the area I wanted to escape the Snowbelt/traffic jams. Last month I made the move to Arkansas.
Yesterday, I took my Bike out of storage and rode over a few familiar roads. 25 yrs ago I rode through these very hills with my Brothers. I am here to report that the roads are still less traveled.
I was the only Bike in Mt Nebo State Park.

Arkansas finest had just repaved the famous switchbacks for the riding season.

If I get bored I can always go fishing.

I traveled through Petit Jean State Park on my way past Toad Suck Lock and Dam.

Delightful roads to explore.

And plenty of 100% Real Premium Fuel to use.

Great pics and ride! I don't have the great pics (one sideways, lol), but had a nice ride from Indiana to rented cabin in Duffield Virginia, 1200 mi. total. Rode the Back of the Dragon, Tazwell, Natural Tunnel SP, hiked to the Devils Bathtub and jumped in (ICE COLD!!!) A little rough on this 61 yr old but well worth it! That mountain hike to the bathtub is a tuff one with 2 mi and 24 stream crossings that were thigh deep in spots, and fast! Slippery rocks and frozen toes! Sometimes you can stay dry depending on how much rain they had...they had a lot! First long trip on the Ninja, normally take the cruiser. Friends said I was crazy, LOL.
