"Murry" is 82 old customer of mine, he owns about 10 V-Max's, just bought this 06 14 8 months ago. Since he purchased it he has lowered, extended, pipe & map it and then to took it to it the strip. He's our Hero! He's not putting down the quickest times, but he still has his wits to get down the strip at pretty pace.

Hey Werks, do those stock cans get any louder as you put more miles on them ? I kind of like the powerband with the stock ones, I got some slip ons, but had to put the quitest insert tips on, to get rid of the flat spot off idle, stil sounds good but just wondering

I can't tell any difference, but I'm only at about 1500 miles plus I always wear earplugs.
They sure are quiet compared to my Sprint's deafening D&D's and the Aprilia's great sounding Akropovic's.
Actually, I kinda like the quiet for a change.
Today's ride in the neighborhood ... Tom

Werks-Beautiful terrain! Where are you located? I could spend days riding up there.

I live in the foothills 50 miles southwest of Denver.... It's all twisties, all the time
Here's a pic from yesterday ....
And today .... This weekend it's going to be snowing and cold.

Werks, you have to stop posting those pix! You are killing us!
Looks too familiar, as I was there in June. Learned a coupla things: those sandy shoulders should not be ridden onto off the road with anything like road speed unless you want to drop a foot and "dirt track to a side slide stop; and the road curves with the nice rock outcroppings for borders often have numerous small "cropping" pieces littering the apex.
Those are the only drawbacks to totally enjoying the "road course" excepting the occasional moving roadblock in the form of local traffic. I never saw a policeman on the roads similar to the ones you picture for us. Don't they patrol outside the limits of the municipalities and the super-slabs?? I know they can't be too busy busting pot smokers any more. LOL

The sand on the shoulders is actually decomposing granite. The most dangerous times to ride are early Spring and late Fall as sand is dumped in the twisties after each small snowfall. Attached is a pic from about a week ago showing the sanded twisties. You just need to be careful picking your way through.

Being retired, I ride on Monday - Friday between 9am and 2pm. No traffic or cops to speak of on my local roads.
In fact, seeing other motorcycles is not all that common. The weekends are a different story, as the Denver riders
are in abundance after about 10AM. I don't ride on the weekends unless it's early in the morning.

I ocassionally see a County Sheriff 4X4 with an ATV in the bed. Only once have I seen a State Patrol motorcycle in my area. Perhaps he was lost
I know they can't be too busy busting pot smokers any more.
It's good to know that my vote finally counted !! ... Now, Rocky Mountain High really means something
Freshly sanded for your riding pleasure !
Then again, sand isn't so bad when you consider the alternative ...
