Okay yesterday my bike wouldn't start!
My bike sits how long between rides?
the starter barely turned, and then went "click click click".
This is when you should have checked the battery.
Once running, it ran fine. Zero issues.
Putting out between 14.2v and 14.5v says no issue are 3 jobbers in the loop. Eliminate the 1. Stator has to be within spec, vo/reg has to keep that trigger/threshold/discharge in the ticking mode, so that too is eliminated. Only one jobber left.
it was at 13.4v.
Tick tick is more a low battery. Starter is one of the more bulletproof parts. So relay and motor are out. The trick here is a 'bench load test.' I'd take a car type set of battery jumper cables, clamp the relay side of the motor's cable, both ground and posi on the battery, then with less sparks flying, the faster you jam to ground the less you wasted a bolt head to spark off of. That, or scratch off some bare spot of the paint for a ground. If you ruin the head with too much arc at it, you're just tapping the starter only. No getting around the spike. So either way, with the battery to starter, it acts the load tester. No need to go to some auto store and have it tested.
