In late November, I trucked BW II to Daytona and met some friends for a 1500-mile round trip to New Orleans and back, with two days spent in the French Quarter.
We hugged the Gulf Coast as much as practical,

First night spent in Apalachicola, eating seafood, drinking beer and enjoying music in the local bars.

Hangover breakfast on a stoop

Could have ridden down easily, but the drive back home was pouring rain almost all the way until I got within 80 miles of home at sunset

It was a nice, relaxing cruise utilizing as many 2-lane backroads as possible. Still had to grind out some miles on I-10.

There's still plenty of beer and seafood left in The Big Easy. My compadres also partook of some stiffer concoctions, although I stick to the barley pop.
