And keep that riding ego facing forward and up front like you keep saying or more Privvy keeps saying how good you are. Because, no matter how fast you think you are, no matter how well you can cook the brakes; there is always someone that can do it better than you so stay humble!

We are somewhat in the same boat as it were. Here's your car back. Never let someone ride your bike... Especially me.

OBTW, IDK, I have no idea what happened to your car? I don't carry insurance. Mine is a no-fault state. Not my fault you let people borrow your shit.

You know Hub...when I go ride...I don't think to myself..."wow...yer so friggin good"...or anything like that.When I blast through a sweep or somethin,I'm thinkin..."okay,that was a bit off...this next one,we want to do this"...that's how I'm riding.OR,just enjoying the ride...the scenery.The experience.I honestly can not say I'm a skilled rider.Seriously.I don't see myself that way.You know...running a circuit at hyper speeds,having your mindset on braking markers,gassing points.All that.Over and over for God knows how many laps...now THAT's skill.And quality professional thinking.I'm NOTHING like that.Like I said...ridng something like the Dragon...or something similar,and hitting her at a good pace...hell...I probably wouldn't last 10 minutes,if that.Taking big sweepers at stupid speeds is not skillful.It's just stupid.I'm just real lucky I haven't hit any gravel or anything.You look at my vids...whattaya see?Skill? I don't.I see a guy takin a lot of chances and 'hoping' for the best.Just a matter of time....I'll wind up in the hospital.I honestly have no business riding a hyper bike like the Ninja like I do.Sane speeds...maybe...but not what I'm doing....I don't even like looking at em.I see FOOLISH all over em.

Helloooooo? I think we are riding a scenario that says I run faster and faster, my mind adapts, hellooooo? Go watch that 30 minute [ink] drag race url, Dogo sent in. Not the RG vid. Scroll down to the one with the employee/racer that does the engines for Vance&Hines. Then watch Hector run for 19 years and it all comes together in one year.

The engine builder gives you some insight to the speed factor and your head follows. Yeah, try 37.5 miles flat out, for the TT was not in your cards and it was for me. And you are shot in 10 minutes or less? Shit, that is just a short practice session on a dumpy closed course.

You have that mindset going in or 'bow out.' You'll hurt yourself you are not aiming for it. There is no rulebook that says you can't be a master at fast sweepers, weak at other points. Frenchy had a knack for sweeper. Remember him? Most improved, once he began trackdaying.

Ya...I hear ya.I do try to be 'better'...I'm just finding that 'being better' than I was before doesn't necessarily mean..."more speed"....you know what I mean.I do take a lot of chances that I shouldn't....I mean....to me they're chances.You never know on the street what's coming around that next bend.There's ALWAYS a risk on the street.Moreso than a closed track anyway.I still kinda catch my breath when I enter a curve and some guy's comin the other way.So many headons here.Guys driftin into the oncoming lane...missin the curve.Happens all the time here.I try to beat em to the bend..get there first,get back straightened out before they can enter.If that makes a wreckless rider...well...IDK.

No, that says I'm doing the same thing. I stand down remember. Way to many days ahead. Way too many curves ahead; I stand down I see cars in my apex. In fact, you watch how many times I swerve away from traffic or move way out beyond them on a pass. It's nothing but give way, get out of the way. So, are you wreckless? Nope.

You took your line and now you took a breath? Is this bike intimidating you? When I told you this bike jumps it's tuned that well, am I wreckless or am I in want of that intimidation? I had that weirdwaysing editor ask me how it was out in the rain, and the quote was, "I was wanting it," as in, he must have been skidding all over the place in the rain, me yelling at him to step it up and fuckit, I took off.

You may throw some respect at that bike, but the hell if you are in fear of it. I'd get off it. I'm yelling for more instead; and mother teapot knows the type this bike is aimed for. Are you getting in over your head or are you in the game of the head game is game up the speed and adapt?

I can identify with what Blue is sayin and Hub,too. There seems to be certain people who can just keep pushing the limits and never seem to get hurt. Myself, I've never been that lucky, but I have been lucky. I definitely think there is a wiring deal in those people's brains that allows them to operate well at that higher level of stress. The rest of us have to learn to appreciate which signals to listen to and not get too over-confident or let the guard down or (what plagues me)lock-up. That's when you are at risk of getting bitten. IMO, driving full bore on any bike on the street will inevitably end in a mishap because of all the factors against med. On a track you don't need eyes in the back of your head watching for cops or eyes of an eagle watching for some small gravel of sand on the road, ect ect.

That would be me edge but I’m starting to slow down or grow up I’m not sure yet but still every once in a while I find some stupid kid that thinks he is fast in the corners (the 5 in the state of Florida LOL) and my brain shuts down and reflex kicks in next thing I know I’m a machine but you guys have taught me a lot mainly if I want to keep living I need to slow down!

You know...someone told me back a ways....quite a while ago....when I first began riding Kawasakis(zzr1200 first one)...they said...TRUST YOUR TIRES.I may have read it in like Kieth Code or one of those...I used to sit and read those books at my beginning of riding.Trusting your tires is pretty iffy IF you don't KNOW what your tires a capable of.And to the guys who ride track...they probably have a way better idea of what tire grip and slipping feel like.In all my rides at different speeds...I can't think of one time my rear tire ever slipped.Honestly.If it did,or was,I didn't feel it.So I still to this day do not know my tires' limits.I'm running Pirellis...always have except for one short period of experimentation with BT003's.And they stuck like glue as well.

I thought for sure one morning I was gonna be toast.It was about 30 something degrees out.The road was that cold as well.I came up on this one right hander...had my mind on something else for just a few seconds.The corner is posted at 35.It's banked,but the exit has a slightly 'closed up' deal at the last few 100 feet.So at that point,you need to be straightening out RIGHT after you hit the apex and sweep through.I hit it at around 65,somewhere in there.I thought as I was rolling in and leaning hard that she was for sure gonna give.Nope...she didn't...held fine.Scared the shit outta me though waiting for that baby to hit the deck.I lucked out.Really.But the idea of trusting your tires is critical IMO to being able to actually push farther and expand more on riding techniques.And I think 'trusting your tires' is something you end up finding out sometimes by pure accident(and I don't mean crashing).

The mantra you hear from riding instructors or books is....push left,go left,or push right,go right.We've all heard that...over and over.I didn't find out just how much more that can be done without dumping UNTIL...I went(or started to anyway)go WIDE from slow bar input and a zx14 with pilot flyin down the road NEEDING to make this curve...or else.I remember saying out loud to myself...."push baby,she'll lean.Push...more....keep pushing"...I did,and we made it through.After that,I really began to get my timing of bar inputs in BEFORE I found myself doing that again.It DID happen again....on a couple of other curves(more than a couple actually).That guard rail just kept gettin closer and closer and...wtf...I'm gonna hit that prick if I let this go any further!THAT turn is an off camber left hander uphill bitch that WILL snag ya if ya don't realize BEFORE that the top exit is actually angled the other direction.So when ya think you're carving just fine...all the sudden,your bike is swinging WAY WIDE in a heartbeat.And you're leaned WAY IN.But she's not turning anymore.Scarey shit when ya don't know that's there.But I began really thinking 'ahead'.And reminding myself...sometimes out loud.."push,she'll lean...just keep pushing...more if you need to".Now that's trusting your tires.The more that happened,the faster I was able to carve.But I couldn't do that at the beginning of riding for me.Maybe some guys get it real quick.Not me...I had to scare myself a few times before I actually started consciously telling myself..."friggin push man....push harder,she'll lean".

And I STILL get caught in situations where I have to out loud say"PUSH....PUSH MORE...MORE,C'MON.....She'll hold"And she does.So far anyway!

Well I think I can say from experience that losing grip at speed can be a harrowing experience. It was fun while it lasted (until I realized I was hurt). But only because the only thing I hit was the pavement. I've heard about people hitting sign posts and curbs with their heads. A guy I knew just died recently because he went wide in a turn and just hit the guard rail. That's the kind of stuff that plays in the back of my mind at times but I try to use it for good. If you've never had to deal with the consequences then you're not gonna have that mental block to overcome and maybe it's possible to push yourself further to become a greater rider. I think that's what happens with the lucky ones. The crazy guy who just never seems like he needs to slow down and catch his breath.

My son-in-law was a lot like this. We would go ride a local twisty (about the only one) together. He'd have my daughter on the back of his CBR600RR (fortunately she's a little thing), and I'd have a hard time keeping up in some of the turns on my 907 GSXR. He just seemed to be riding on 'rails' and had absolutely no hesitations. Last year while riding a country one-lane the two of them had a close call with a hay truck coming over the center line and ever since he seems a little slower. Last I rode with him (the 14) he was very reserved. He just joined my learning curve. Not that he's never wrecked or anything, he just got scared enough to have that in the back of his head now. This can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it.

Edge either your getting older or smarter,I crashed in 06 street racing,it slowed me down ,broken ribs, collar bone and shoulder.The older you get the longer it takes to heal.Now I'm very selective where I go fast.Sure glad I live 3000 miles away from Hub I certain he would inspire me to greater heights of stupidity.A few years back a friend from florida and I split a bunch of uncoming bikes at 250 KPH at the Parry Sound sport bike rally in Ontario.When I did it felt great in retrospect it was one of my stupider moments
