I did....just for the two up ride.I like that they're quiet...but,with my earplugs...I don't hardly hear the TiForces anyway.So......

blue07; what earplugs are you using?

Right now I'm going with a brand called "Hearos".They're blue and conical shaped.VERY soft...but you have to squish em down into a very thin round shape(like they are when they're out of your ears)...and then make sure you pull your ear top up and get the ear canal as straight as possible,then push em in before they expand.Very comfy...and work extremely well at killing any ongoing noise(like wind or the pipes).You can kinda push em in a bit more after they've expanded if ya need to.I recommend highly.You can ride all day with em and not have your ear canals get chafed.Gotta watch when you put on your helmet though....kinda pull the sides out some and carefully slide the helmet over yer ears so ya don't dislodge the plugs.

I must have huge earholes or something. I've tried 6 different brands of foam earplugs, some rated to 32 db, and none do much. The Hearos didn't do anything either. I squeezed, pulled, pushed, and pushed again till they were so deep I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get them out. The difference between in and out was hardly noticeable.I'm thinking I need a professionally molded set.

Hmmm...that's ...well...okay.I also use the SILICONE roundish ones....made of silicone gel(molds like putty)These work very well also(whitish clear material).You roll em into a ball,then just kinda smush em into the ear...but you do not try to jam em down into the canal at all(okay,just a tad,but not like conventional foam plugs).They will mold to the outer ear,and work very good.You can mold the part that's outside flat in your ear lobes and they'll stay in there good.They block a lot of sound,but will try to come out some if you run the helmet interior against em as your taking your helmet on or off.So ya gotta get em flat on the outside,and slip yer helmet over your ears carefully.They'd be my second choice.If you do have big canals,these may be just what you need.They will not chafe your ear canals like foam can stuck down in there.
