04/20/09 8:54 PM

I purchased a zx14 for my fiance and I to do some 300-400 mile rides on and I am wondering what seat you would recommend for 2 up riding, TOBIN or a CONCOURS seat? Thanks

I can only speak for the Connie seat that I put on mine, but its a dream. 100 times better than the stock seat

I fix things till they can't be fixed.

Don't discount the Sargent seat. The others look liek they are great seats, and so is the Sargent. I had one on my ZRX and just got the new modular seat for my ZX. Very comfortable and very well made.

I have a Corbin. Very comfortable riding across the US last year. About 1 inch lower than stock.

Corbin seats are "ok", but I wouldn't give Corbin the time of day. Worst customer service policies of anybody in the motorcycle business I know of.

The $90 I paid Spencer to mod my stock seat is the best $90 I ever spent on a motorcycle.

This Tobin seat has sparked a bit of interest with me. The website doesn't show if it's a drivers only seat or does it extend under the rear seat cowling. If anyone has one of these, please chime in and post a pic or two.

Spencer's motorcycle seat mods -

Comes back looking so close to stock you can't tell the difference unless you have two side-by-side. Having put a few hundred miles on mine now, I can really tell the difference. My hands and feet will give out long before my butt does. Heh.

For $90, he put a better foam gel in the rider section, with a rear bias, and a different foam gel in the passenger section which conforms to the passenger better than stock.

You need to switch the seat brackets on the bottom of the seat front and back - other than that it is a direct fit.
