my danes hate walks too. Pull out the leashes and they look like it's bath time. They walk fine, but get close to home and you better be hangin on!

My olde beast and the youngest beast can maybe do half a mile. The mittel beast in the photo can do maybe 400 yards and wants to lay down at yard marker 401.
One day I had to carry her the last 100 yards to the house. She just doesn't like it.
She likes down comforters, her supper dish, big poos, and watching WW2 documentaries with her daddy.

My male is just stubborn/lazy. The female is neurotic. She is a constant bundle of nervous energy. Ive seen her run back and forth in the garage, bouncing of the wall to turn, for 30 minutes. Try to walk her and she walks like its a death sentence. Take the leash off at home, and she runs like a maniac. Life at the puppy mill really did a number on her. Seperate her from the male and she will howl nonstop. We've had her for years, and if shes seperate from the male, she's afraid to come near me. Bring the male in and they compete for attention. She won't play with people at all. No fetch, tugging, wrestling, nothing. Just wants petting. Even when the male runs after a toy, she will stay glued to your side. Together they play, chase, wrestle, all the time. Hobbies are barking, running, barking, pacing, barking, running, barking. Luckily they're outside dogs or id need a concrete bunker with no furniture for a home.
