Hi Romans,
I have a 2010 zx14 with Yoshimura TRC full exhaust and flies out. I bought the woolich flash and need held tuning the fuel and ignition maps. Can you please help me? I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm in communication with another member and he has also been unable contact Romans.
I'm not worried about Romans because he did say a few months back that he was getting out of the game and it seemed as though he meant OUT not just a break. I believe his other obligations are taking precedence.
I will give him a call someday soon though just to say hi. IDT he has a great deal of time to devote to bikes at this time. That is sure unfortunate for the ZX-14 community but a guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do.

WOW....excellent find. DAMN!
In Romans' absence I would suggest Ivan for a flash. He seems the safest. I doubt there is enough difference between the most reputable tuners to pick the quality of one flash over another.
If you have flies in, I would remove them and tune fueling for flies out. The 06-07 has a huge amount of power below 6000 rpm that is inaccessible with flies in.

I sent Romans an email just now and it bounced right back..."cannot find the domain ____________."
Now I am just a wee bit concerned. He may have deleted that email account to keep away from bikes. I hope that is all it is.

...and i sent you a long reply. Hope that helps. If you want to have my Tsukigi flies out map, just PM me your email. I really think the best thing to do is to go with a map that has a good reputation. You don't want to wate your time tuning a base map that has less than optimum AFRs. The AFR table is the real art to this.

yes Sir. I don't go far. If you guys are Burning Gas some where I will find you. It's in the blood.
Hey guys I've been so swamped with work I'm drowning. I hope it slows down soon. That on top of Microsoft forcing me to upgrade is messing up my E-Mails. I now have two email addresses that are stuck at 66% and will not finish downloading mail. Making me nuts.
Spring has now arrived, snowmobile is put away, looking back to the bikes now.
Other Good News. I had a birthday on the 20th and I am now the great age of 51. And Mom said I'd never make it. Fooled her lol
Also other news, brother and I been getting mod parts ready for the Hellcat. Crazy Power to the rear wheels. Can't wait for summer. Pic shows Dyno Sheets of Other Hellcats coming off the Dyno Today

Glad you're still around Romans. I still have many secrets to pry from you. Ignition module timing map for NA Gen1 for example. ...and NOS.
All Good, the recorded just skipped a bit. I'm working on it.
As for your set up, the point to remember is 32.5 Degrees timing on the gen one is already way to much. We had Gen 1 bikes here make more power by pulling one degree. All stock. With that being said, the use of NOS or boost changes Dynamic compression which brings max compression stroke to close to top dead center. From here Lift the head, blame the gaskets and springs comes next. Not Worth it. PULL Some Timing or,,,,,, Others may not Agree but take it for what it's worth.
Cheers

Run that by me again. Did you mean "too close to TDC"? Because that I understand.

Ahhh Too it is, My bad.
This isn't pull one degree across the whole rpm range, is it? I remember seeing you had a curve plotted on the SB6 graph.
No, if you still have that graph you know how I was doing it.

I saw SB6 graphs and probably could find them on my SB6 thread but they were not your map. You did describe your curve to me in a PM I have saved. It seems clear enough
in the bottom we raise up the curve x degrees all the way to XXXX RPM,.............. then down x to 11,000..
I know what the values are for x and what the other rpm ranges are but I don't know if you want me to post them.
The description seems clear to me but I would really like you to see the Ignition Module table before I run it...just to make sure I'm not pushing when I should be pulling--advancing -retarding---I've gotten the jargon confused in the past.

Think nothing of it, young man! We're ecstatic you've returned to us.
I can't tell you how happy I am to hear that you and Marcel have moved in together and that's the real reason you haven't been as active here.

Following along with Rook on this one. I'd sent you a couple emails awhile back about nos. I still haven't messed with my setup. I want to learn as much as I can before I try to spray. You'd mentioned in a pm about the timing to me as well. Good to see you back posting as well!

LMAO, I'm not sure where you got your wit from hagrid but I must tell you I really enjoy it. To funny. Now help me wash my computer screen.

maddox welcome aboard. Sorry for not getting back to you. I will do what I can to make it right.
For the Gen 1 you can read for hours how the turbo Nos guys blew up. My belief has always been timing. Stock Gen 1's run to much timing for pump fuel so how can anyone run boost or nos and not pay the price ?
It's really that simple. Don't Do It. Adjust or Boom. Even Kawi pulled 2.5 degrees in the 14 R. When we flash you guys guess what ? We put that 2.5 back in. But you guys love it. Get Bad fuel issues come fast. If you run a flashed ECU with boost or Nos,,,,,, well you know the rest. I can post maps if you want to see the truth. No need to take my word for it. Facts all that matters. You not blowing up is what matters. The End !
Romans, you're a rock and roll star. You're needed here.
OMG,, now there something I never expected to ever hear. That's good. To funny.
Guys I just want to be known for always telling the truth and saving you guys as much money as I can when I can. Because mostly, that's what you guys have done for me. I still sell the cheapest flash you can buy. Always will.
On a sad note I think I've sold the last of my baby Girls. I'm a little gutted as I never really did ride this bike. Just had no time. Having owned seven ZX-14s and now soon to be none I'm a little gutted. Couldn't sleep for the last two nights. On a happy note you guys know the member who is buying the bike. Can't wait to see what he is going to do with a 450hp horse power monster. Scary Fast !

I only plan to spray for fun. Not really a drag racer. My bike has a mps spyder dry kit. It has 40hp jets in it. I have a pcv. I don't have any kind of autotune capability yet. I've been trying to learn all I can before making any purchases. What would your suggestion be as far as pulling timing? Would a flash benefit me? Thanks for your help!
A little info to add. Previous owner used nitrous on the map that was in the bike. It didn't seem overly rich at full throttle. He told me to only use 116 octane fuel if I plan to spray. This is my first dealing with nos so I'm a full newbie...
