Basic Street Mod:
1. Remove mesh screen from the stock air cleaner.
2. Choose any pipe.
3. Done.
Basic Street/Race Mod:
1. Race air cleaner element.
2. Pipe of choice.
3. PC/other Piggy of your choosing.
Basic Street Hot/All out race Mod:
1. No air cleaner.
2. PAIR removed.
3. Piggy System of your choice.
4. Turbo Systems.
5. Pipe of your choice if turbo is not used.
6. Engine top end parts, i.e., cams, porting, bore job, etc.
7. Bottom end blueprint/balance/transmission cut gears(optional), etc.
8. Long swing arm.
Remember, this is bottom of the barrel cheap seats to, holy shit hold on seat of the pants give me the HP, I'm not finished yet with the short list on any of the sheets. And what I mean by that is the unlimited way you can build a bike from the first bolt. You know, like drill the heads to lighten parts or use titanium parts to carbon fiber is that kind of list you create. This is what I think are the slow steps I would take on how I would move on a gradual scale if one were to start modding generically, not just the 14. It's kind of relative between bikes looking at it that way.

They say the best bang for the buck is gearing. Theres two or three different set ups people use check it out. My opinion is, leave it alone, just do the things that will keep it looking nice and running good. It will be worth more money that way. Just my 2 cents.

A -1 front sprocket will give you alot more torque (seat of the pants of course).
An exhaust system will give you a lot more power. I prefer Brock's, but most of the name brands (yoshi, muzzy, etc) are pretty decent as well.

LMAO That would definately be considered bang for the buck! Trying to figue out what exaust to go with first. Im thinking of going with the muzzy full system with carbon can. anyone know what kind of weight savings with this system? also heard it will help reduce heat buildup.

Street wise, most any brand comes down to what looks nice. If you looked/shopped around, found Muzzy catches your eye more than the others, I doubt you will lose any significant power from the 14. Don't kid yourself. You won't feel the difference but at a drag strip and then you are cutting hairs between pipes. Go for it if that is what you are thinking about.

It is something like the stock 36 to 40 something pound pipe system vs. something close to 16 to 5 pounds of aftermarket pipe, 5 being full race. > Approximate. Yes, you see and feel the difference both in heat and weight loss.

Thanks for the info hub, much appreciated. having second thougts about the muzzy system though, i saw the akropovic system on romans bike, he had pictures posted on another thread, WOW it looks great. it also looks like he got some great dyno numbers from his system with a custom map. I found an akropovic system on ebay with c/f can and s/s system for $1200.00 or $1700.00 for c/f can with ti system.

ddemagrc51, to the forum. I 2 have the full akropovic raceing system, dynojet power commander USB with a custom map, dynojet ignition module with a custom map, TRE with no files and that gives me 189HP which I now have real nice stroug power throughout. Not saying that the bike lacks in power at stock setting. I don't know if your looking for sound as well but the akropovic system is not too loud but loud enough when you get on it and the fit and finsh of the pipe is outstanding.
Ack now baby!! GOOG LUCK!
