best light weight mod
02/13/10 10:45 PM

New lithium batteries, cut 10 pounds off your bike for $175, 30% more affordable than the comparable speedcells!

throw away all the parts you can, and cut 12 lbs, then go at the battery.....for another 10 lbs

exhaust, cut 30 lbs for $1000+
CF wheels cost $4000 and remove 12 lbs,
all the ti you can get will cut ~ 4 lbs for approx $1800 or more

the battery is super small for more space savings too.

see the link for all the details

Yeah bro i took that stock exhaust off for some drag pipes with baffles they are an 8th of the weight. And i really dont want to make it really that much lighter that baby is already a wheelie machine.

As far as price goes, he's right. You can not cut 10 lbs off the bike for $175 except for the battery.

Wish i'd have gotten mine from him instead of the speedcell. Oh well.

Dubious; how much for the fender bracket?

I recommend Dubious' ZX10 fender conversion kit highly.

I do recommend you have access to a metric 6 tap, because I had to tap a couple of his holes to get the bolts to thread without forcing them.

And the carbon fiber 06 ZX10 fender I purchased was molded a little wide, so I had to put plastic washers between the brackets and the carbon fiber. Which is not the kit's problem.

Dubious, what else are you selling now ?

Privateer.
selling lithium batteries, but I also have accounts with schnitz, MTC, Clear alternatives, Hard racing, Pazzo and Brock.

Please keep in mind I am in Canada, I would like to help everyone, and some companies will drop ship for me , while others will not. I can not compete with 2 way shipping, so i would help whenever I can, but sometimes i just cannot.

Here's a link for the batteries

Slow, I will send you an invoice asap.
I am dropping the price in the brackets to $85.
This is the best I can do, it costs me $22 to ship them, plus the paypal fee's = approx $25 just for handling + ship.
You will get stainless bolts, and nuts included, and the brackets are cut with water jet, super clean.

I never had a complaint about the threads before , but i will check them for sure now.
Thanks for the feedback everyone.!

here are some battery pics.

1/4 to 1/3 the size and 2 lbs - 3 lbs vs 11.5 lbs for the stocker!

30% more affordable than Speedcell or Ballistic, same materials, components and cells used

Thats the 7.5 Amp.
here is the info again.

5 A is 240 CA
suggested for stock compression up to 1400 CC inline 4 cylinders
weighs 1lb 8oz approximately.
$175 USD includes continental USA shipping , and paypal fee's

7.5 A is 360CA
suggested for Vtwins, or high compression inline engines to 1800 cc
Weighs approx 2 lbs 4 oz
$220 USD includes continental USA shipping and paypal fee's

10 A is 480 CA
as powwerful as your import car battery!
suggested for 124 cubic inch S&S harley engines and such
Really not necessary for any inline 4 cyl engine
weighs only 3lbs
$270 USD includes continental USA shipping and paypal fee's

I have access to the 2.5 amp, that speedcell recommends for the 600's, but it wouldn't even start my KTM XCF450, so I will not be carrying them.

These brackets work and fit Great......... sure does cool down the 14 in the summer heat faster with a ZX-10 fender.
I had no problems with the threads on mine.

I'm thinking of buying one of these units but I run heated gear and HIDs how is this battery compared to the stock CCA? Would it be powerful enough?
