Push-pin quick revits used on 2012 and up

I'm late to the Party of removing my Middle/lower fairing combo. I watched Brock's video but some items not covered-like All these different sizes of push-pin Revits. I took them off without paying any attention to them. OEM parts fiche show 6 different sizes used in the fairing. I've found 4. And I finally figured out where they all go. Getting old and forgetful is the pits.

This morning I pulled them out and checked depth of each pin.

Short ones go above the fender and those are different in width and appearance.

I took a photo before removing the push-pin Revit at the rubber panel and note its rough-finished head.
I had switched 2 pins and noticed one was falling out and the other was too tight (lengths were different).

These push pins are very expensive from Big Kawa. $2.30-$3.80 each.

Awesome DoubleD! There should be a full tutorial on Gen2 fairings but this important detail will share help. Even the Gen1 has different sized pushpins. I think there are two sizes of the smalls and the the big one at the center of the lower.

Thankfully Kawasaki seemed to use these fairly sparingly on the older bikes, I'd love to find a better solution for the lower fairings as I need to remove/reinstall it every time I change the oil filter or hell, even a cheaper way of replacing the pins. I kind of think you should be able to go to an automotive store and buy a 100 pack of these things for like $5.

A larger Ace Hardware will have a large variety of these kinds of pins. IDK how much or how close to exact fit they'd be from Ace but may be worth a look.

One useful idea: As you pull each pin out of its hole, tape it to the body part, right near the hole it came out of, with BLUE (painter's) masking tape. Painter's tape holds decently but comes off without hassle when it's time to remove it. By taping the pushpin to the part right near its hole, you don't get confused by the myriad of sizes.
