WTB: Stock Chain and Rear Sprocket in Good/New Condition
05/07/11 11:14 AM

I purchased a bike with a newer Vortex Sprocket that is 39 Teeth. My fuel economy sucks, so would like to go to a stock 41 tooth sprocket. If you have recently upgraded and have a stock chain and sprocket to sell and have very low miles on it, let me know. Thanks.

If your still looking, I've got the oem 41 steel sprocket, taken off my bike @ 1700 miles. It's like new condition. $15.00 shipped.

I know this isn't the place for commentary but I'm really surprised you think you'll get better mileage with a bigger rear sprocket. Not a bad thing to go back to stock to figure out a baseline, but I think you'll be disappointed to find you get worse mileage...

unless of course you do a lot of stop and go which maybe a 39 would take away too much torque off the bottom. Did the guy say why he had that 39 on there?
