I was hauling ass on the highway as part of my regular daily ritual and exited. When I came to a stop my brakes were doing that crunching sound that pads make when they are worn too much. On cars you get a heads up for a couple of hundred miles as they progressively get worse. On my bike it is like everything was good and then crunch-city. Is that typical? I haven't had a real sports bike before and don't know what to expect....for instance plugs every 8000 miles was a shocker to me. I did manage to get home but I didn't use the front brakes. Drove all the way home slow as hell with my rears for braking. Had visions of wheel lock ripping the bike out from under me all the way home. Tomorrow I will pull them apart and have a look see. I am going to order EBC HH brake pads unless you guys steer me elsewhere. Remember I am a cheap ass. The bike just turned 6850 miles. Already put 3300 on it in 10 weeks.
