Couple of months ago I put up a new goal for myself ..9:50 et and 150 mph.. then I got kinda sick and didnt do a lot.
On the 4th, I made the meet at Sonoma Raceway and while I went out in the first round of eliminations, still, I managed a 150.70 mph..Just proves the bike has much faster et than my present 9:62 so heading for Samoa Raceway ( near Eureka California) for a bike race weekend.. More practice since that is wheat it takes :)

Like hearing about your progress.

Hoping to hit the strip soon, at least for test and tunes.

Have to wait for it to cool down a little though, right now 100+ even after
sun sets. Last time there (on old bike) in the summer the staging lanes where brutal, 100 degrees
no moving air, I had put baby powder on my arms and legs and it sweated though my black leathers,
was a mess.

My goal, break 10's and get tossed ;)

Piken..Pretty hot here on occasion , altho not like Arizona ! still we see the high 90s a lot... I wear lycra ( pretty sure that is what they are made of) under my leathers and it really helps ..If not , I could not get them off by myself :)

Thanks Maverick, I think that will be a LOT of seat time :) ..In the meantime I am going to switch to power shifter.. Will be selling my Dynojet Quickshifter if anyone is interested..( It is a PUSH module). I really wanted to avoid spending more money for the 1/4 mile but what are you you gonna do...?? :)

Would it be possible to do 8s at 80 ?? I have 17 months to get in enough seat time

Chrly I'm too lazy to look back and find out but what sprocket combo are you at right now? What RPM are you leaving at?

Maverick, I am running stock gears , 17/42 and "trying" to leave at 3500 but I ALWAYS put in another 1500 or so which means I am riding the clutch waay too long...( I had video of guages)
This bike with me on it should run almost 9 flat according to calculations..I have Schnitz flash, Yosh R77 system, bike lowered with Brock adjustables 2 inches, and the front raised 1 3/4 at the triples. Stock shock set two out from closed.
When I first got the bike, ten months ago, I was holding the front about a foot to ten inches for most of first second and some of third.It seems as tho now, I am just riding the clutch.. Maybe the one standup at the line put an unconscious fear in my lil brain ?

I have a Quickkill but shifting by foot. For personal reasons, I want to keep SWB. I also do not want to strap the front end. I have came out one time standing the bike straight up, the rest of the time I am riding the clutch waay too far out.. It is what I am presently working on. Obviously with the bike able to do 150.70 to be exact,I am nowhere near the actual potential ET . Best presently is 9.62 but on an avg nite I run 9.80s with low top speed of about 144 .
You would think after all the years I have b=been at this that I could nail it down but it has never been a serious endeavor, just always like to take my street bike to the drags :)

Only ran three events so far this year as work has been getting in the way a LOT.. Managed to up my MPH to 151.29 but 9.625 is still my best ET

Congrats! 9.625 is a really good time at stock wheelbase. I'll be glad when the weather cools down, it's just too damn hot for me to go to the track.

My et goal was 9.5 but not sure that is gonna happen...Takes a lot of seat time to keep bringing numbers down and I have other things eating up time ..I think I only made four races total for this year..:(
