Here is my list of things to get if I could get some advice aswell on things i might need and brands people would recommend as I don't have alot of money just to throw around at this time :(

Paddock Stands & Stand stoppers
Crash Protection (mainly for if some person pushes it over :( )
Tech spec tank pads (but i want them to go further i have seen them further up on the tank but can't find what to get)
Chain lube
Servicing Gear that i might need that could make life easier...

Go Pro and Helmet Intercom

Any help would be muchly appreciated!!!! also anything else you think off :)

One word..yes!

Stands, you have a few options. If you're not in need of paddock stands (your uses will require them specifically), you should look into pivot stands such as ABBA or Hiendl and there are probably others. A lot of us have either and eveyrone likes them.

Servicing gear, assuming tools, you'll need some different sockets than your 650 for the rear axle. 36mm for the steering stem head nut. 32mm for rear axle nut. You'll also need one of the 43mm/30mm castle nut driver for the swingarm pivot locknut and a couple other usses (think it's also used for clutch work). 22mm hex bit driver for front axle. 65/14 oil filter cap wrench. I haven't sprung for the steering head tools yet, but I think they're about $30-40 if you want to buy one.

Other than that a small set of hex bits, a service manual, maybe some cheap calipers if you want to be really precise on rear axle alignment adjustments.

I'd agree with Vic. Stands are the first thing to get and a swing arm pivot stand will be the easiest and safest to use. I like the Heindl. I think the ABBA is going to be more versatile. Looks like you can lift both wheels off the ground at the same time with the ABBA. There's a long thread on here started by Vic.

I don't have faith in any sliders for the 14. I've heard of LSLs causing frame damage in a crash and they are supposed to be specially designed to not cause frame damage. Get whatever you think looks best and it should help a lot if the bike drops at 0mph.

Tech spec tank pads (but i want them to go further i have seen them further up on the tank but can't find what to get)

What you may have seen is custom cut TechSpec. You can buy the stuff in sheets and cut it up to cover rounded surfaces. Bevel the edges with a bench grinder and fit together like tile.

Chain lube, lots of opinions as to what product to use, I prefer a chain lube made specifically for o-ring chains, main thing is oil your chain after a ride when it is warm and do it on a regular basis.

Vic and I both agree the ABBA stand is the bomb, very easy to use and store, very stable!

Only intercom I have experience with is the SENA and I love it, works great.

Welcome to our fraternity, lots of great people and advice on this forum!!!

Two other basic things...Service Manual and spark plugs. There's a great service manual thread in this forum, you can find them online or buy them printed from Kaw or other sources. As far as spark plugs...

I changed my plugs and used 1/4" extention, u-joint, adapter, and 5/8" spark plug socket (specifically a craftman..OD of the socket will be a factor). It worked great, I wasn't concerned with breaking spark plugs or stripping threads. However if you are I'd suggest some other method.

OR

Depending on where these guys ended up on if Gen 1 spark plug tool can be used for Gen 2? If they can, probalby find one online new or used pretty easy. Gen 1s came with a spark plug tool in the kit, Gen 2 does not have this.

Also for keeping the bike upright for checking oil level by yourself and other things,
A Baxley stand, (if they have them down under) mine has never slipped, even on my slick
garage floor, some of the knock offs slip if not bolted down ...
