Well I was setting at the end of a good friend drive way waiting for some cars to pass when all so a sudden smack from the back. My friend was backing out of he drive way and didn't see me (really). All and all not to bad broken tail light bent finder eliminator scrached lower cowl broke brake lever and scratched up mirror. $620 in 2 sec. Luckily I wasn't hurt and my new brocks exhaust is fine. Got my bike in dec. have 1295mi on it. He was heart broken I belive as much as me. Before this it was a great day of riding.

ah that sucks! Sounds like you have it all covered by insurance so order your parts and put er back to like new condition. Spend the shop labor fee on something cool and make her better than she was before.

Yep other than lov'n your girl right (cause you care about her) she's none the worse. Get them parts, put em on, in a month or two it'll be a distant memory.

Just curious, now that this happened and you've had some time to reflect. Any thoughts on what you might have done when you seen your friend getting closer and closer? Honked, flashed brake lights, etc?

BTW I want to counterproduct your bad day with a good day event. I finally named my bike. Her name is Evora.

Have to admit here...tonight when I was 'trying out' my new front wheel chock stand,After several attempts to get it to roll out of the cradle,my foot slipped(the rug actually) on the cement.I was on the bike at the time.Trying to keep her vertical,my f-n foot slipped out.She fell to the right...I never let go.Pretty much held her with every thing I had.Basically,I 'set' her down 'gently'.Thank God there was one of my floor mats right there where the lower fairing contacted the ground.Inspected for damage.One tiny scratch there...but it buffed right out.There IS a GOD!

I knew it was possible for something like this to happen eventually.The rugs have a way of sliding instead of gripping.Gonna have to rethink my strategies here a bit.Poor baby,this is the first time she's ever been down.I know how ya feel there Slow.

I took off on a 2010 Road King up a very steep hill, while she was leaned over in a sharp left turn. Scraped the pegs, kick stand and bags all the way up until she tipped over. The bike was maybe a month old. It happened in front of a patio full or half drunk patrons.

It happens, we try not to, but stuff happens. The plastics on the 14r are like sugar glass they seem to shatter on impact. This summer when I hit bags of gravel discarded and strewn on the highway. At impact those plastics just shattered.
Every Oopse seems to cost big denaro!
Such is life with a motorcycle.

Victhing, I wasn't even paying attention to what was behind me. Setting at the end of his drive way never crossed my mind that he would hit me. I know its going to get some bumps and bruises as time goes by and they always suck. I just want to thank the guys on the forum for being so helpfull with everything especially Mr. Sebastian aka Cblast for everything he has done to help me from taking calls and answering questions, and helping me get my back back together.
