Actually,it's pretty cool that the manufacturers have built and successfully flown(and fly)helicopters right now that require NO PILOT.They're "almost" full scale replicas-Very Cool indeed.Usin em for missle platforms and surveillance.I'd love to have me one-or several just to go fly on the weekends.Fully operational, yet simpler than your standard helicopter control mechanisms.Guys are flyin em from carrier based computers and such.Made of composite materials-a fraction of the weight of the real deal.No loud big piston or large turbine either. With their size to weight ratio, they can easily operate on advanced battery power.Really awesome!Ya crash-no one dies(intentionally that is!)

eh the overall design is too complicated imo. 6 different motors use a lot of energy and it creates a lot of room for part failure. i admit the performance is dazzling, but it isn't to brag about. an rc copter can do the same thing in the same manner and it only uses one motor. even if there are composite materials used on the frame, I guaranty you a rc copter made of the same materials would weigh half as much and still have the same payload capabilities. plus this design would not have a very high top speed. if it where traveling horizontally it would be like trying to push a dinner plate through water. the gps positioning isn't anything new. its something any hobbyist could do with the correct know-how. it is an interesting invention but nothing new and nothing practical. if you want to see something interesting in terms of reconnaissance, research into how they are making artificial bugs.

JESSE1212; I don't know. It looked a lot more stable than any single rotor rc copter I've seen, and looked pretty fast horizontally. As for complicated, I'd rather have 6 motors and have one fail, than have one motor and have one fail. :-D
