This past weekend I rode with the mc down to White Post VA to Mr. B's BBQ. Fantastic BBQ as always.

On Friday 13th (oooohhhhh scary) I am riding down to Bowie MD for the Kawasaki Ticket 2 Ride event, which is on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th.

The week after, I leave for Wellsboro PA on the 18th of May for the Concours Owners Group (COG) Spring Rally. It runs from the 19th through the 22nd. Many of us are staying at the Penn Wells Lodge.

Once I get past that, its off the races with a very busy riding season.

Well, here I am in Bowie MD on Friday, Kawasaki Ticket 2 Ride event starts tomorrow morning. Its about 2 miles away from the hotel.

I came down on back roads, and managed not to get wet, though there are scattered thundershowers across Maryland.

Will post news about Saturday tomorrow evening, if I see anything interesting. Also will take digital pictures and post them when I get home.

Rats, its misting outside. Around 8am local time. If it clears off a little, just a little, we'll be good to go.

Took pics of the bike in full dress (not quite, no seat bag)yesterday when it was dry and you could see the sun once in a while. Hope they are bright enough to post, otherwise will do over.

Takes a forklift to unload the trailer .... they have to use a double decker inside to hold all the bikes...

Rain is done, waiting for a little more road surface drying, then they will run the demo ride out...

They kept the bad boy under the awning. Nobody got near it but me. I almost signed up to ride it. SQUID ALERT!

Leaving for COG Spring Rally in an hour or so, will take pictures. Mandatory picture, all the bikes (all nearly 100 of them) in a row at the lodge, with one single ZX14.

The ZX14 will not be lonely, it will be like a lone siberian tiger, crouched against the snow, ready to strike.

Made it to Wellsboro just fine. Bike amazes me how easy it is to eat up miles on long trips, still.

This trip was about 5 hours one way. My long leg of the Mt. Snow trip will only be 7 hours, so it should be cake.

I spent a lot of time at 70-75 mph, on 45 and 55 mph roads. And credit to the Zumo 550, it plotted a course over a couple of mountains with lots of great S turns and sweepers, keeping it interesting.
