Sorry, this must have gotten away from me.

You can see the extra z-shaped extension here. The top holes that sit behind the lower end of the plate are cut out for easy removal and the cross bracket stays bolted to that.

Danno, you lunatic, you're answering Mad a mere 4 years later??

The thread has been here the whole while. This section must have slow traffic.

Maybe we should have a Givi bags section.

... or a general "Luggage" section, or maybe "Cases" or "Storage", I dunno. Hmmm, not that I guess there are many other brands (if any?

Well, doesn't really need to be I guess. Givi cases are very nice in my opinion. Although some competition could help reduce prices

Better late than never, I'm told. I was re-reading the thread and realized I never posted those pics. I still have the original cut tailpiece sections, so I thought anyone else who was doing this might want to use them as a pattern.

Rook, I bought this Bike to travel. I knew I was going to do hard luggage and Givi is the logical choice. I have used Soft Saddles bags but they rub the paint off (trap dirt/rocks), not very weather resistant or secure my stuff from thieves.
Travel by Bike is still an adventure. Travel by car, not so much.
3-piece Givi Luggage set looks Factory from the rear.

With mine the previous owner messed up the top mounting right proper. He just left it hanging on the plastic and caused a mess. Decided to put the bags back on and fix the issue once and for all.

As soon as I can get to my local supply shop the bolts will be changed to SS button bolts.

Made up a template and some brackets. Drilled and tapped into the grab handle. Now solid as a rock.

Had to paint them so they don't stand out.
