I am wondering if 'silver' color ceramic coating an exhaust pipe off a turbo bike will be heat-color safe? Meaning 1300 deg or lower?
For the header and turbo I am going with 2K satin black,

RE: Ceramic coating exhaust pipe on turbo bike

Go to Performance Coatings they have a section on coating the turbo.
I have no idea what the temperature of the exhaust gases are coming out of a turbocharger on a ZX14 though. But since the satin silver is good for 2,000 maybe that would work. You might just contact them about it, and see what they say.
Once I get around to getting my Muzzy full exhaust (titanium) I'm going to have PCI put satin black on the header AND the "tailpipe" back to the cannister. They can bake their satin ceramics onto titanium just fine. I figure 2,000 degrees is good enough for that. Heh.
What I like is PCI will do engine components too, with so-called dry film coat which doesn't change the dimensions of the part. So they can do bearings and such. Of course, you can buy stuff like ceramic bearings anyway, but at least they know how to do it.
I just checked, the dry film coatings they do on internal components are 4,500 degree coatings. Maybe they can do something like that for your turbocharger exhaust pipe.
