Oh my has it been a few years? Yes it has. WOW... it is GOOD TO BE BACK!

No, I'm not dead. I'm getting better! And I'm glad to see many of the same silly peckerheads around! Oh my goodness what is all the spam!? I remember there being issues all those years ago, but man... nothing like it is atm.

I still have my awesome 2013 ZX-14R. It's just been stored the best I can recall, the last 4 years. I got in 14, and rode 15 and 16. I finally got it back out this year, around June, and rode just a tick over 3000 miles. She's got just shy of 23,700 miles on her now. I got to hand it to Kaw.

It stored amazingly well. It was stored with a full tank of E0 90 octane (no additives or stabilizers), and a fresh oil change (Valvoline 4T Full Synthetic). Reviving it I did a full coolant flush, and flushed/bled the brakes and clutch, and replaced the battery. The gas didn't smell good, but I went ahead with it. I about shit my pants when I pressed the starter button and she fired right up like it was just started the day before. Blip the starter and she fired right up. Used that tank of fuel no issue, and ran like a champ all summer long.

I wasn't riding too hard this year, definitely having some fun, but nothing like I was able to the first 3 years. 3000 was the stopping point for me, since my M7RRs are down to the wear indicators and having to do an oil change. Which the oil looked AMAZING. Seriously, I have NEVER SEEN such clean oil coming out of anything especially with 3k miles on it. It was still CLEAR (although dark).

I'll be posting in another section to continue on with my down time plans for her. At any rate, it's good to be back riding and I about shit my pants that I was able to login here still (just from time and remembering what my password could be).

Rook looks like you've been doing some fairly technical stuff the last few years. Like your switch dash panel. That is cool...unfortunately your thread was over run with spam.

Yeah and I wrecked the bike too. Hit a deer last June. I still plan to rebuild it at least so it looks good again. I don't know if I will ride it anymore.

so you don't have to read all that, I hit a deer, bike slammed over, I was knocked out and slid 225 feet. I had some bad knee and calf abrasions and my right hand. I had on a helmet and mesh jacket and light gloves and regular jeans. It was about 3 weeks of recovery. I haven't ridden since and still have no intentions to do so here. Too many deer.

and now I have Covid. Day ten and I still can't talk or I cough. I will try going back to work on Monday.

Thanks Greenie. I think I'm over it but I have a bad case of bronchitis like I normally do after I get a lung bug. This one is extra bad though. I'll be coughing for weeks.

Yeah,I've had chest congestion for a month now.I didn't have covid though.They gave me some abuteryl to take(inhaler).It's been helping stuff to come up.Feeling much better.

Hang in there all. Sorry to hear some of you are dealing with covid. Right now a bad time too, kids going back to school spreading all the other regular germs around again.

I had something in 2019 that about killed me. It was around March, and I'll tell you I think it was Covid because it about killed me. I could've sleep for 4 days. I called off work Weds to Friday, was sick all weekend, and still the next Monday called off. I would start (chain) coughing minimally every 15 minutes and it would be painfully bad. Any time I fell asleep, I'd start coughing in a matter of minutes waking me up. It was HORRIBLE. Then my right ear was "stuffed" for a couple months. And food tasted funny for months. I had a lingering cough for the next year, progressively getting a little better over time. But I might start coughing at a meeting at work and would have to leave the room, even months afterwards. I don't know if it's possible covid was around, I was traveling quite a bit then. But damn...that one took a couple years off my life, no doubt about that.

Also sorry to hear about your bike rook. That was the best color too.
