So my bike came with racks, but no luggage. After borrowing a few pieces from other bikes, I think it's almost there. Not to sure about the top case though, may change/lose it.

At least my shit will stay dry when it rains.....it always rains.

What does everyone use for tank bags? I have a small magnetic one but it doesn't like the tank on the 14, so I'm off looking for non magnetic one.

I use a Alpinestars Manta tank bag for little stuff (cameras, wallets, key, etc.) and a MotoPak GT-20 for overnight rides that holds a lot of stuff. Both are magnetic and no problems at any speed.

You having trouble with magnetic ones?

Twisted Throttle also sells Bag Connection Tank bag systems. It's a ring that attaches to your gas tank and their tank bag clips on it. Nothing touches the paint.

I don't know if that top case is just dirty or the paint is messed up. If it is paint, they sell black trim paint in a rattle can that has a little texture and will make that look like new again.

The top case used to live on the klr so it's just mud.

Might replace it with this one...

I have an old EXL magnetic expandable tank bag I bought used off Fleabay because I liked how the blue stripes matched the bike. Got a strap in front so I can sling it off to the side and access the spin-on gas cap when it needs fuel.

Since the original map pocket was missing, I adapted one I found in the Twisted Throttle catalog.

+1 on the Bags Connection tank bag
I think Cortech makes a similar setup now, but I can't vouch for it.
I have the BC Daypack and definitely like the fact that it doesn't touch the tank.
It pops off easily enough when you need to fill up etc. but is very secure when attached.
Fit & finish is top notch as well.
Worth the $, IMO.

Twisted Throttle (read: candy store) has them.

Just a lighted switch for the power source for the radar detector. It's a dual cig lighter plug with 2 USB power ports. Mounted just out of the picture in front of the right grip under the upper corner of the fairing.

The white light in the center is the port where I plug the detector in. The USB outlets are visible on the left. The red light on the right is a small rechargeable flashlight I leave plugged into the outer cig port. When it's on charge, the red LED glows.

If I don't have it on and my knee hits it, the r.d. beeps in my earbuds, so I know I did. With the lights on the outlet and the light of the r.d. it's pretty obvious whether it's on or off. Happens once in a while. I didn't want to drill the c-f inner fairing panels and the current location is the only place there was room for the wires and the back of the switch on the foremans.

Hey Twt, I need all the info on that trailer. We used soft saddlebags on our Oregon trip, had the straps under the seat and ended up cracking my bodywork mounts. A trailer like that would carry more stuff than both our saddlebags. And I use an expandable magnetic tank bag with no attachment problems at all.
