Just picked up a new '13 ZX14r ABS on Friday. Traded in my '09 Concours. Good gawd this thing is fast!
I'm new to this forum, coming from the ZG/GTR forum, the guys over there were awesome. So just wanted to say howdy!

Thanx man! Now I can't get those pipes replaced fast enough! Delkevics should be here this week. Seriously though what was Kawasaki thinking? Holy hell those things are fugly!

Welcome!! The stock "cans" weigh about 50+ pounds (if not more), and look like the warp drives on the starship Enterprise... LOL!!! Notwithstanding performance, they are surely weirdly ugly. I will give the stock system some credit... They are quiet. But for us old farts with our hearing going down the tubes (pun intended...), a good slip on, or a full header with matched can at least makes it easier to listen to the sound of insane power....

The gen 1 exhaust is 39.5 lbs, stock header and cans and the small exhaust support under the the rear brake pedal.

I'm sure the 14r has a heavier exhaust.

Oh man I never even thought about an Enterprise analogy! It's funny cause it's true!

jimmymac knows, on the ZG forum it's an ongoing debate as to which color Connie is the fastest. So thought I'd see if I could start a little ruckus over here ;)

The tracking numbers indicate the Delkevics with be here tomorrow, so the warp drives will be off by this weekend! the T-Rex green accent frame sliders here on Friday.

Man I just haaaaate buying a new bike, then having to accessorize the hell out of it. Not!
