Not much progress but got my M7RRs mounted up, and decided to paint her fingernails. Unfortunately I was stupid and placed an order from tooldiscounter.com for OTC 4796 (resellerratings 1.0/5.0) and have been stupidly waiting for my order to ship. So I ordered the tool from Summit, I'm sure it'll be here next week. Probolt didn't include any of the anti-seize compound with my $600 order, so I'm contacting them.

Traxxion rebuilt and upgraded fork/shock
Probolt titanium rotor bolts
M7RRs - I was mistaken, these are 190/50 and not 55s, with Moose Racing yellow tire paint

The tires look great Vic! I've used ordinary oil based paint pens by Sharpie and I believe they're the same thing for a lot cheaper.

Interesting! I will have to look into that. I found with one or two other sets I had to touch them up a couple times over the life of the tires to really keep them looking sharp. So this paint definitely isn't something SUPER, although I think it works well.

Mine get a little shabby looking in a short time too. One thing I can tell you is don't use latex paint. I tried it once and it was coming off very badly after the first ride. Oil base is the way to go and I got a pack of about 20 Sharpies on Amazon.

I ended up getting those outer steering bearing races out... without the tool I ordered. Although Summit is awesome, and it's actually supposed to be here tomorrow (ordered Saturday, shipped this morning). I'll keep it...never know might come in handy for some other purpose and it wasn't too expensive.

I had bought a couple 12" lag bolts (for installation of the races) and used one of those to unseat the bearing races. I ground the tip of the bolt to where it was probably about a 10-15 degree bevel. The problem I was having was no matter about how carefully I would be the force of the blow wasn't being delivered to the bearing race. The tip of whatever I was using (tried screw drivers first) and then bought a couple punches, but these just slipped by the edge of the bearing when struck.

By beveling the screw, basically this presented a flat edge when contacting the very small area of bearing we have to work with. Damn those bearings are hard steel though, it literally deformed the lag bolt I had to resharpen it for the top after getting the bottom out.

Also got my wheels balanced up, didn't end up having to do anything to them, I think this is my 5th or 6th set of tires, never had to move a weight once! Also got my probolts installed on the brake rotor and rear sprocket.

Tomorrow or Wends start putting the front end back together!

Well Vic, I finally got around changing tires. Wanted to see if that sprocket would standup to grease with 23k on the clock. I think we are dead even, no? Have to stop the video to inspect the new dusty against the degreased.
