They are made by Corbin and the list price is $1,899.00; I picked mine up for $1,499.00 but still not cheap. The Givi V35's can be had for much less but IMO these look as though they belong on the bike. You can check them out here http://www.corbin.com/kawasaki/kzx14bag.shtml

Small, light, nimble and extremely responsive. If I had to chose between the two the 14 would be the keeper but my last 3 rides have been on the CBR. It's just a blast to ride, it will lift the front wheel anytime your ready. I have always been confident in my abilities from my CR250, ZZR1200 and ZX14 but this thing is scary fast.

There are a couple of the new cbrs around my local tracks and they are running some fast laps.
This bike looks really sexy in race fairings too- it resembles closely a moto GP bike with the short nose
and tail sections, and also the very exaggerated forward seating position.

Post some pics of the upcoming mods

Most often it's Tony's Track Days in NJ and NH.
I've posted a few videos in the Other Bikes section
of myself on the 750 and a friend on his zx10r.
We've hit a few tracks on the East coast, Road Atlanta
a particular favorite of mine. I also hangout at the wera
forums since I've gotten to know some of those guys and
they are track officials and instructors on the tracks we've
been to.

Here's a couple pictures of the D3 Grips and new shorty levers. Levers were $49 + $12.99 shipping from Hong Kong on ebay. I was very skeptical but figured for the price; why not? Fitment and quality look to be top notch; much better than expected. I guess time will tell if the Pazzo's are really worth 4X the price.

Hey keendog, very very nice bike's. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger soon on a new bike. Partial to the zx-14, even considered the cbr1000. However, I see that if given a choice between the two the zx-14 would be in favor of. Why??? Also I'm looking for a bike that I can tour on and not have the wind roaring in my helmet. I ride with a shoei FR1000. From the reviews it say's that it is a quality helmet and quiet. Well I recently sold my 2008 FJR 1300 and went through four screens experimenting for something better.
I'm not looking for a gold-wing, just not wanting to get beat up while riding. My 2006 Triumph sprint ST faired much better. But not comfoftable for the wife. Kind of perched high on the back and she got a lot of turbulance. We did the "bobble head" when riding two up.
Any elaborating on the zx-14 aero and turbulance???

In 2004 I bought a ZZR1200 which was a great bike but my wife had the same problem with turbulence at highway speeds. I traded it in after trying numerous windscreens over the course of 2 years without success for a ST1300 which she loved but I did not care for at all. (Big Scooter) At the time information on the C-14 was just starting to trickle out and it showed up at the motorcycle show. Loved the looks of it but when reading about the HP loss of the 1400cc combined with the additional weight I decided the ZX14 was going to be it. LSL handlebar kit, Puig DB, and a set of Corbin bags and it's just what I was looking for. All day comfort with a smooth air flow; my wife will ride all day now. If you feel that your wife was perched high on the Sprint please don't put her the back of a CBR. I even removed the rear pegs and seat; all two up riding is better left for the 14.

I've done 10hr days on the 14; after 2 - 3 hours on the CBR I'm pretty much done. The CBR is a much smaller bike with a much more hard core sport attitude. Jumping on the 14 after riding the CBR is like going from a wooden kitchen chair to the lazyboy. Don't get me wrong; the CBR is a great bike but at the age of 38 I won't be doing any touring on it. The 14 is just a more comfortable rocket.

Thanks for taking some time to elaborate. So let me ask you, when riding the 14. Do you suffer the same problems as you did with your old zzr12. What concerns me is the roar in my helmet. I guess it is an issue now, because we have the scala rider head set paired with my zumo 550, and don't want to scream over the wind noise.
Funny, how things change. I used to have a 2002 Indian scout all customed out. Loud and pretty fast for an american V-twin. Used to spank harley riders and metric cruisers with that S & S motor and super "G" carb set up. Cam and rinehart pipes. At time who gave a hell about wind noice and turbulance. I even had the "skid kid helmet" ears exposed no protection what so ever. Ever get hit in the face by a bug going 80 with no screen or full face helmet on. Had a few KZ1000's and a 1975 Z1 900. Never concerned with wind noice or turbulance back then either.
As far as going for the cbr1000, seeing the two bikes together. I'm convinced I go for the 14.
Keendog, did you ever consider getting the Kawi touring screen. Same one that MRE offers, (the one with the cut outs to reduce air pressure)???

We use the Scala Rider team set on all of our trips. I have it installed in a Icon Mainframe and my wife wears a HJC AC12 with no issues below 70mph. Above 70mph it can get a bit harder to hear.

I have the Puig DB which I like the best out of the MRA spoiler and the Zero Gravity ST shields. The spoiler screen had very turbulent air, the ST gives excellent wind protection but is a bit noisier. In my opinion the Puig creates the smoothest air flow of the three but in temperatures under 40 I opt for the ST. I have not tried the Kawasaki screen.

Just another picture to help you see the difference. (don't mind the messy garage)

Nice bike's in the stable. Cbr looks really mean, kawi set up is nice for long distance. Wife must really like the set up with the back-rest. Had a corbin with a back rest on my FJR.

The levers do have some movement up & down. I haven't had a chance to see they are machined that way or if the bolts are just a little loose. The temperature is supposed to decent tomorrow (40's) so I'll have time to check them out.
