I apologize for resurrecting a 5 or 6 year old question. I studied the historical advise given on removal of the underseat canister and how to route/block off the hoses associated with that. My question (other than how the hell did I get a CA bike in MS) is thus: the ports on the right side on my tank are color coded blue and red. Red being the right (outer) port. When I removed the line from this port, it was pressurized and discharged a small amount (less than an ounce) of fuel. The bike had been exhibiting symptoms of poor/erratic idle and "surging/stumbling below 3K RPM (as described in numerous previous threads). Is that line supposed to be pressurized?
Little history: bike is a 2011 with 1001 miles on the clock (yes, one thousand and one). Plugs all looked good (but I replaced them anyway). Fresh fuel (non E) with a dose of Seafoam. Irregular idle and surging got worse (it seemed) after riding it 50-miles. Top end, pulls like a banshee. Thanks for any advise or links to greater knowledge.
