Most of the time it's a poor ground that causes those problems. Make double sure it's clean and tight.
Oh yeah, check your ground too.

Seems weird that the bike has a good ground, the bike restarts, yes? If a bad ground, you'd think hard to start to a no start scenario, but it fires off as if lost memory, you turn key off and it restarts on the ROM, whereas RAM is signing off and no input = Dead engine.

Whereas the process of elimination is to remove the hot side of the pc. The ground is where the injectors are still grounded in the bike side to keep the pc in the loop, so having the hot side removed from the injector side is ground makes no difference if hooked up.

Whereas now, the bike cutouts without the pc = Faulty Flash. No electrical issues with a pipe change so no pipe will affect starting, unless it is clogged and will backup the air in the pipe and stall the engine.

This is a revision... If say this is a later wire harness where it is just a plug into the main harness located under the throttle body, keep everything hooked up on the pc on the battery or to the hot side of whatever your setup is, rather, reconnect the throttle body harness back into the main harness, disconnect the crank sensor and reconnect those back to stock.

We want to check to see if the pc is the problem or the ECU is the problem. We can't eliminate the ECU, so we remove the pc5 instead... Make sense we are killing 2 birds to see who is at fault?

My old Versys would do that intermittently. Highway or sitting at idle didn't matter it would just decide to stop. Found the problem to be a wire in the main loom under the seat that wore through and grounded out from time to time. Rain also made the problem worse.

It rides perfect wit out it... Can it b the ecu I had it flashed by Don guhls with the bricks race tune on the pc5 any help would b appreciated... 'It rides perfect wit out it...' says it's not the flash.

'Can it b the ecu I had it flashed by Don guhls...' says I removed the pc and after 6 miles nothing happens. See how it's not the ECU flashed or not?

'with the bricks race tune on the pc5 any help would b appreciated..." says, I must have a snowflake and this map is not happy in mine, let me clear my throat... "is there a map in the house, mine is running like shitcombo." Is the assumption go make a proper map, meaning, dyno snowflake.

'I'm gonna send them the pc back tomorrow something has to b done..." say the first thing is leave the pc out of it as far as shipping it back. What might be [the odds] the same old problem. Did you wire up the ground at the same location?

The yerk that said to wire it under the water bag is a you gotta be kidding foolish move. Metal on metal is now metal on plastic gimme that shit. Oh wait, I assumed that's the whole mounting problem is a bad ground you reinstall it and the unit checks good was a proper ground.

Where are we at ground location wise? Could be a good map, lost current, bad frequency, poor running = Poor Ground???

Said WATTS his name...

Signed,

Ground Effects

A good ground now eliminates the pc... You answered your own question, yes, poor map configuration.

Do this. The pc came with software maps on the CD. Load one and test. Load the next and test. If the first try cleaned up the mapping that is in it now... See, how it's not ground, not the pc, but the map. Make diagnostic sense?

Which would now say...

I did swap out maps to check and still cuts out.
I did check for a proper ground that is right off the battery.
I did check all my connections, and notice how at both times, it was not the connections to the bike.
I did send it back, you may have done normal checks, but how about heat and leave it on for hours on end and does my unit still work with more time of it being on to shut off we count how much time 6 miles are at said average time span?
I did count all my variables up, meaning, not ground, not map, not connections, not the ECU, not the bike, but the pc is back to cutting out.

Assume side...

I assume the bike started back up or was this a tow home each time the bike stopped running?
I assume the next day out of curiosity you turned the key on and the bike started?
I assume the pc is the problem if heat causes the bike to stop.
I assume the 6 mile run is not stopping the bike from running so the only variables revert right back to 3 variables tell them...

I have a list here as to how many more variables are we going to have but the 4 right here?

1. Bike not it when stock.
2. Ground not it if the water bag is at most places for ground as per instructions is it?
3. Waiting for the map change so this says I do not cut out with a map that runs better but still kills the bike.
4. Only unit that can kill the system is thru 4 injectors and a crank signal = Faulty PC?

Only your map knows for sure... within 6 miles give or take. How close am I?

Thats what I told brocks that it's gotta b the mapping... so they told TO send it back witch I did and they said they put it on there bike and ran it on the dyno and it works flawlessly. So idk if they changed the map or tweek it but I jus got it back yesterday so I will install it to c
