Horns
02/20/20 8:52 AM

Anyone ever heard of or know of someone that has a Screaming Mini Banshee horn on their bike? I found it on the internet without looking for it. Fate maybe? I saw and read some testimonies on it and everyone that has one said it's saved their lives countless times from someone pulling out in front of them or swerving into them. It's LOUD!
It looks like it's easy to mount, too. It might be an excellent safety add on. Anyone have one?

on the same topic, allow me to sidetrack a bit...
my stock Kawi horn has failed more than once over the past 3-4 years
it often happened after long crossings on open deck sea ferries, even though i would wash the bike thoroughly after each trip
replaced the faulty horn by a new stock unit... and sure enough it would fail again after a year or so...
last year, went to a car tuning workshop and got a second hand Denso horn from a Toyota that had replaced it by a fancier one
... and guess what, everything has been fine for me ever since, the sound of Denso keeps trouble away

How big is the Denso and does it mount where the stock horn goes? It must be pretty loud, too.

the Denso horn is saucer shaped as well, not much bigger than the stock unit
as such, it fits nicely on the existing stock bracket, with only a slight adjustment
not super loud, but loud enough...
