steering damper oil change
02/01/11 9:41 AM

So I have a PSR rotary steering head damper that is leaking oil. So I replaced the o rings so now the oil is about gone. Does anyone know what oil wt. to use and do you fill both sides up all the way. I think it is worth a try to fix it, the new ones are so damn expensive. Any help thanks Brent

Has anyone changed theres?

I was told for street use you would get 5 years before you would need to change it.

Here are the instructions for a Scotts damper. Scotts Service PDF

I've never done it, but probably should change the oil in the one on my rm250... looks simple enough.
