I've been working for 48 hours straight with all this flooding going on. I'm tired and wet, so we are closing unsafe roads to protect people from themselves. We put up barracades and fire line tape and this individual apparently didn't think we knew what we were doing and drove on through anyway. Road collapses and we have to go back to rescue them. Do people not think anymore.

How in the heck did he manage to get the FRONT sticking up like that?Shouldn't it have been the other way?or did the road collapse as he was sitting there?(and WHY would he be sitting there?)He's VERY fortunate.Be careful Heathun-don't want you winding up in a sinkhole!!!

No he she thought that since the asphalt looked ok she would just drive through the barracade and cross. All the ground undernetath was washed completely away. I guess she was traveling just fast enough that the front wheels made it before it collapsed and the rearend just dropped in.

Just came in off another swift water. I didn't get any pics since I was tied off and in the water. Ended up being a Body recovery though.

Yea just tired and looks like no more sleep tonight. The Chattahoochee river should crest on this end tonight.

If the driver had been moving slower she/he may have been killed or hurt real bad. The front diving in would have been a lot worse.

Yea probably would have.She had her 4 year old daughter with her so the out come was the best under the cicumstances.

Man people are so damn dumb. Honestly heathun I think people are at the peak of stupidity. With all the saftey shit we just have curbed natural selection. This person would have probably been snuffed before her teenage years back in the day. Damn I miss metal dashes!! On another note thanks for your efforts down there.
