I used one of those on my ZX14 with a VARIO extension, worked pretty darn good.

mortbike: the saddle bags are First Gear in black and one season old. They have three compartments and expand. In the pictures they are not expanded; they certainly were expanded and stuffed on the trip back. The tail bag is an old Cortech from a matching set of tail bag and saddle bags; I wore the saddlebags out on my old ZX-14 '07 model.

Shotgun: I really like the picture of the two bikes side by side. My old '07 was also blue. You have captrued the image of both of them together in one fell swoop! Anybody with any sense knows the blue ones are not only faster but by far the best looking.....

Here's my favorite picture of old 07 Blue:

Hi Guys, Have just ordered the zero Gravity and Heli bar risers to make it a bit more happy for longer days. What are you guys using to cover the top of the bar clamps where the originals, used to be filled with the forks, now just a big dirty hole. AnY Ideas??

My risers from Genmar came with nice plugs that seal the top of the risers, making them water tight so no dirt or water gets inside. I haven't yet opened the box for the Helibars, but I would imagine they have the same round plugs also.

Hey Ryan,it's just for an idea but you can have some turned to your specs by a machine shop down there.

(wonder if the motor mount covers will fit the holes left in your clip-on's from raising them with the Heli's,break out the calipers...)

I made pannier racks this past weekend and as a result my ZX14R Hyper Sport is now a Hyper Sport Tourer

Givi E21 panniers and Motocentric tail bag.

With only 4 bolts, the racks attach / detach in a couple of minutes. The racks as shown weigh 6lbs and the Givi E21's weigh 7.5lbs(pair) for a lightweight 13.5lb setup. Aluminum tubing is 6061 T6 and the adapter plates are made with HDPE plastic. Paint is Krylon ultra flat black.
