Sounds like you want slipons. That's just one clamp on each midpipe then unbolt the stock cans from the hangers. reverse process for installing the Akras.

How much is this going to cost for slipons? How much will a full system cost? Can you drain and take the radiator off? Then you should have no problem removing the stock header.

I always suggest a full system. Go with one people recommend for good fit and light weight. Akra or Brock's.

how about for your next post turn off the caps please. Not sure if I understand what you're asking but the old 4-1 system will work on the gen2. Some have posted graphs showing it does just fine on the gen2.

If what you mean by don't want hassles installing it that would indeed leave slipons.

Here is a few pics for you. This pipe makes wicked bottom/Mid range power where we ride the most. Gives up nothing up top doing it. I hope this helps. Cheers

Looks like Romes got a slip-on there...you CAN buy the 4 into 1 header from Akrapovic...then get the slip-on.Odd they wouldn't sell a complete system...but that's what I had to get...maybe it was the material it's made of...IDK.Got a 4 into 1 SS header..then added a Yoshi slip-on...I think that's what it was.Maybe they DO have a full system in Titanium or something.I may have gone this route because of price...can't remember just now.I don't have an Akro slip on here...so it had to be a different muffler and midpipe.

First question you need to answer is what are you after? Do you want a better sound, less weight, different looks, or going after max power. If you go with just slip-ons like Rook suggested you'll have 3 out of the 4 with a lot less expense.
You can probably goof off and still change to slip-ons in less than an hour plus you don't have to remove anything except the old cans.
If you are wanting max power you are going to spend a LOT more money and take a lot more time installing!
Let us know what you decide!

The system on Rick's green bike is a full Akro system for a gen 1.
IIRC, the can was shortened a couple inches.
Take a look on Ivan's site for exhaust system dyno charts.

Neither Akrapovic or Brocks needs coolant drained or radiator removed. Loosening it and pushing it forward helps install but isn't necessary. The Akra was a tight fitting price on my bike but once in has performed beautifully. All the full systems out are thin wall stainless or Ti so you need to take care installing them they all dent farelly easily. Personnly I like the Akra best because its not stupid loud. But you can't go wrong with any of the top end systems all male about the same power and unless your a pro won't notice much difference besides looks and sound so pick the one you think like best or sounds best and to with it.

By the way I have gen 1 full single side akra system on my 2013 gen2 bike. If you have any question about the Akra there are a couple of us running it on our bikes
