While my 14R is pretty well set up for my riding style, Sport-touring, always looking for what others are doing.

What mods do you fellas have planned for the off season?

I just did a simple one, a tire pressure monitoring system - works awesome! I mounted it on top of my radar detector, so it is protected from the elements, easy to see, and I can switch it between my bikes.

I have my Ohlins suspensions installed. Painted some engine ccvers. PlastiDipped water hoses. Removed left side subframe and working on fabbing up a fairing adapter to hold the left side fairing to the frame since the subframe was where it was anchored before. After that'd done, tail subframe comes off and N2O goes on. 200 mph clock faces and we Plastidip the forman fins, paint the top of the ZX-10 fender and maybe the ram air intake if time permits. Flash, Evo Shift star, and that's prolly as far as I will get before it's time to ride. No big wrenching projects for me this summer.

How did you mount that detector up there? I like the location....is it removable or fixed?

On the RD mount - what I did is hand fab a sheet metal plate that supports it from the bottom and epoxy a windshield mount to the inside of the windscreen to attach it from the top.

It is totally removable, I move it from bike to bike.

Forgot that I am also having my seat guy play around with my Sargent seat. When I grab a handful I slip around too much

I had him add some padding to the back of the seat, think I need him to do a little more work still.

Madonna is gonna get a ECU Flash by Cblast of course.. Shorai battery, custom seat, lights (blue),
Rear wheel fender and mayb sum carbon fiber parts.. heel guards and ram covers to start.. mayb.

First I still need my bike back ... Once that happens I'll pop the new wheels and rear sprocket on followed by the muzzy m10 exhaust and some frame sliders, then take all the OEM silver bits and turn them to flat black (heel guard brake levers shifter etc..) then call insurance and let them know of the upgrades and make sure it's ll covered!

Radar Detector

one of my winter mods.

im doing a full m4 gp race exhaust. also had it ceramic coated. black too. gunna look really sharp and perform better! having C readjust Melindas attitude. looking to upgrade my suspension as well. rear shock mosly. I sit at about 240 suited up. and I plan on hitting the strip a few times this year. so I think its time to upgrade the shock too.

What are these winter/off seasons you speak of?

At stock lenth and lowered rite now. Probably switch from a 42 rear to a 40 or 41 tooth rear sprocket.

I hear Texas is even cold. It was -8 here this morning. That's okay. I'm getting everything set up just right for this Spring. Special brackets for the Ohlins shock controls, NOS, new clock faces, new fuel cap, Evo shift star, few more parts to paint....Two months, better hurry. NO WRENCHING for me this summer.

Smatlock have you fitted that exhaust yet, I was looking at the same exhaust but want to know how much louder it is.
